Hey Folks,

A few things I want to address.

If I'm wrong, I'll always man up. Those of you that know me well enough, know that.

Today, I included Larry in what is a justifiable acusation towards others, before my evidence (with respect to Larry) ironed out completely in one direction or the other.

So to that end, Larry...I'm sorry man!

I don't make statements like the one I made today without significant proof.....and in my anger at this situation, I reacted, *specifically* to Larry, when evidence pointed in his direction....even though I hadn't allowed it to point AWAY from him until after I leveled the acusation.

I have discussed this privately with Larry and I hope that he and I can put this situation behind us.

Regardless, let me say again, Larry I'm sorry...

Now that I've said that, I want to stress to everyone that reads this, that this post is extremely difficult for me....and NOT for the reasons that the moral grandstanders that have tried to involve themselves in this issue may feel.

This issue is a whole lot bigger than Larry.
It's bigger than Me....

Too many people have been hurt, in real life, (and I'm not talking about their 'feelings being hurt' either ) for this issue to simply float away because I (one of many involved in this effort) aimed at the wrong person because I got too fucking mad to see clearly.


The fact of the matter is that the side-bar issue with Larry clouds the very essense of the main issue here.

This main issue doesn't stop here...by a long shot. Especially considering the fact that I'm not the only one seeking restitution here.... Those others that have found themselves in my crosshairs, you should know that I have considerable proof in my pocket that my assertions regarding just who you are are indeed correct....In your cases, the evidence has never stopped pointing to you.

However,

Do yourself a favor...and show Larry enough respect by leaving yourself OUT of this apology thread....if you want to square off with me, my site's a great place. I invite you there, so you don't burden Andrew with these problems.

dude , its late... i dont really understand what you just said,, i asked to be deleted. fine.. you deleted me.. i got to work and wondered if i could get back in to check my mail for the last time.. it worked from my work ,, i made a couple of posts. had no mail.. checked a day or so later.. was locked.. that is cool.. that entire thing was rick and i speaking back and forth during a time when you were using an arnel screen name.. we thought you went over board and got upset with you .. the annex just isnt my thing though.. as you can tell from today.. i dont really want to be IN the loop.. i like it here.. .. in retrospect , rick and i should have shut up .. but we got caught up in it..

Good on ya for apologizing to Larry, Frank....I respect that. My "moral grandstanding" yesterday was appropriate to the situation....but I see it as standing up for a very good friend who I care about and knew to be a completely innocent man. I hope you figure out the situation and get it resolved, but hopefully do it with a little more finesse and dont be so quick on the draw and react with emotion. Calm, steady, and rational thought, like you have shown here, is the way. Like they say...look before you leap.

For Larry and Journey69 -- I was in the middle of responding to both of ya in the other thread last night when the board was locked. I posted that comment about the avatar from Dec. 8th just for some history, and to take some more heat off both of ya on that particular point, so no problem. Basically, I think the whole avatar deal was a non-issue.

However, J69 -- You've always been cool to me here, and I appreciate that, but I do need to clarify that I wasn't specifically trying to defend your credibility, because I haven't seen you really defend yourself here -- that should be pretty easy to do. Seemed for a while you avoided engaging the assertion that you were someone else, and then began having a bit of fun with it rather than trying to disprove it. Just an observation (and maybe a suggestion)...

When '69's name was first linked to it (actually, it may have been the 2nd time the assertion was made), I posted to nudge him about his lack of response, and I doubt he couldn't have noticed -- I believe his screen name was part of the thread's subject. Didn't see a direct reply, though he posted later on in the thread talking about something else.

I'm not against ya, J69 -- but unless I've missed something, the way you've seemingly handled things only creates suspicion. I've always enjoyed your posts and hope you turn out to be legit, but that's up to you.

All joking aside -

Even checking an IP address is fairly unlikely to resolve some peoples suspicions as an IP can easily be masked or altered.
I can't help but feel sorry for anyone that's innocent yet being targeted as it is considerably difficult to prove identity or motive over the internet. Continued pressure could be perceived as cyber bullying and may drive good people away or cause anxiety. I think its amazing that a number of people have done such sterling work to assist friends and eradicate unwanted elements from the board but am concerned for those caught in the crossfire. With that in mind perhaps such matters are best left off the boards and dealt with privately through moderators.
