ESPN is reporting Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite to be among those on the list. The announcement comes in 5 minutes. Between 60 and 80 players will be on it.

Here we go!

I had heard there would be over 300 names dating back for some years. May have been a radio DJ exagerating though.

It's not just Yankees.

This report was commissioned by MLB not the Federal Govt.

The game of baseball is great. The MLB way of conducting business is far from ideal.

Hey Lula girl

I am sure that many will have something different to say on the subject than I do however, the basic part I see is that:

Steroids in themselves are not illegal.

However some doctors (usually known as "script: docs) write prescriptions for them for people to use them for other than their intended use. That is very dangerous and has cost many people their lives.

Many suppliers are not even doctors - many times the steroids are obtained illegally (theft and brought in from other countries) and just distributed in the club house - no precriptions, no doctors, no licenses - very illegal

that brings in the Food and Drug Administration.

Some people love them - some people hate them.

Also the drugs are transported not only across state lines but also across international boundries.

Many times they are prroduced in other countries with out very good oversight on manufacturing and sanitary practices.

Steroids are banned by most Sports I believe - and the Olymcics used to be so bad, they had to test not only for steroid use but also for gender.

I think the MLB wants to clean their own house and that is what brought this to the front

I saw a great sign in a clip this morning on the news.

It said:

"Babe Ruth did it on hot dogs and beer"

There are more issues but hell I am tired hehhe

Hope this helps. Of course it might also start WWIII

Some days here it is a coin toss.

Sorry, didn't catch that you posted that already.

It's interesting reading. Just do a search in the window for your favorite player.

I hope the Astros enjoy Miggie Tejada. LOL

Ok question, you being a hockey fan might have been paying attention.

Is there ever talk about the use of steroids in hockey?

I don't recall ever hearing about it.

I'm sure they will. I think that he'll have a big year in that lineup.
It should make a big difference being protected by Berkman and Lee in the lineup instead of the likes of Millar and Gibbons.

Well he just lucked out I'm sure. A lot of the names came from the NY Mets clubhouse guy and the trail just went a certain way. These names certainly aren't the only baseball players using performance enhancers.

Lenny Dykstra??

How far back does this list go? He's been retired for a while, hasn't he?

It's a report that includes parts about any type of drug abuse in baseball. It even talks about Fergie Jenkins getting busted for having cocaine & hash. I believe that was in 1980.

By the way, speaking of Lenny Dykstra, me being a big Cubs fan, Lenny (playing for the Mets) used to continuously kick the Cub's ass. He was a Cubs killer. Because of that, my nickname for him was "Lenny the Dyke".

I concur...many sellers/users have just been better at covering their tracks to this point. Sammy & McGwire must have used one of thse guys ;)
If you are wondering why you don't see any Red Sox players, know that Mitchell is on the board for the BOSTON RED SOX. I wonder just how deeply he dug into evidence on players like Manny, Ortiz and the other big named players.

This list was created by the testimony and evidence produced by ONE WHITE GUY FROM LONG ISLAND. Sosa got his drugs from the DR or other latin country. This was Radomski's list. There's 100's of Radomski's around baseball who supplied drugs to all your favorite players and teams.

Because is against the rules, and because we pay so much to see them,
Dontcha think we should be able to sue players who cheat? And the team that looks the other way when they do?
Seems to me this would clear up this steroid issue right away.

I stil think its totally ridiculous an athlete can make millions a year, and cheat, and keep all that money.

Frickin ridiculous country we live in eh?
