1 - Together as they are now, playing 10 to 20 dates per year

2 - Together, playing 20+ dates per year.

3 - Name exists only as band has dis"banded".

4- JJ back with group, playing 50+ Shows per year.

I think recently Peterick said he spoke to Jimi and Frankie. He plays on some of Roe's live WLS remotes, but this was in an interview. If they are smart............

There's so many changes in their lineup, think that the band itself didn't know themselves what the future will be!

Just wait that the band will be ready with a new record, and ready to tour in Europe (just saw them one time in 2001 in Germany).

I think they'll be where they are now....touring sporadically...threatening a new record at any second and all the while behaving on the internet comminiques as if they're the hardest-working band in rock.

Weird.

I'm still picking up the pieces of my brain from being blown by Reach's "new home," Eye.

None of the above. Playing 100 plus dates a year and they WILL have a record out by the end of next year. Frankie never promised a new record for 2007. They HOPED to have a new record out. Big difference. I am disappointed but my understanding is something is in the works.

Eye,

I believe they did. I think they were more active last year than in recent years that's for sure. Yes I think 100 plus dates is very plausible. It's about energy. Most who have seen the band recently describe their show as full of energy. Say what you want about Robin's voice, he is by far the most energetic front man the band has ever had.

Agreed. Let me ask you a question. Name the last time an 80's band played on national television in front of 20 million people?

I'm not sure but Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Journey and Quite Riot (with new lead singer Robin McAuley) could do it tonight if they wanted...

Def Leppard? They haven't played on national tv in front of 20 million recently. Journey doubt it. Recently? With the curretn line up? Maybe back in the 80's. Bon Jovi that's a whole different ball game. Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, The Stones etc. Those aren't music groups! LOL. They are coporations.

my point is, you put a little too much into that...that had a lot more to do with the song...

Hell, they would let Devo play on that, if they would sing Whip It...would not mean there is a Devo revival in 2007...

I understand what you are saying eye. I do. Of course it had everything to do with the song. But you can't seperate the band from the song. The point I was making is that the band has done some very MEMORABLE things of late and to say anything less is a bit disingenuous.

Toto is great. They played in front of a national television audience of 20 million? In the United States? I don't think so.

Eye as you know I'm a big fan of the original Survivor line up with Dave. Do you find Dave's Bud commercials degrading? Honest opinion. I don't even though I think he's making fun of 80's rock.

I guess degrading is releative...Hey look, they are making a living and not working 9-5..so more power to them...

As I say, its releative...for Dave it could be...I mean if mick jagger stated doing it tomorrow it would be more so than dave...

Hell, rememeber the beatles went nuts when Revolution was used in a NIKE add? Unaltered in any way...

But Van Halen let Pepsi clear use 'Right Now'...

I see the Starbucks as a little worse than dave's as it is making fun of a specific song...but about the same...

Make no mistake, dave's stuff is a spoof all the way around...

I mean Slander...they actually sung.."Roy, Roy, Roy, Roy...."....LOL....

But it was funny and good to see them again...

Didn't said in US Television, said in Germany. Don't know how many viewers, but a couple of. Here's the link from the show of april 1st, 2006 (of course in german but it's easy to find the video clips, just scroll down a little bit).
