I'm shaking in my shoes! Step away from the crack pipe and get a clue! The Dolphins had their one and ONLY moment, last Sunday, against a putrid Ravens team. I promise you the Dolphins aren't winning a game in December in 25 degree weather! They never won in Foxboro in December, when they actually had respectable teams, so I can assure you the Pop Warner crew they're fielding this season isn't winning anything, except the first pick in the draft in April! The Patriots may lose, before this season is over (I've been predicting a loss for them all season), but, I promise you it isn't happening to the Dolphins! In fact, if the weather is remotely reasonable, Brady will tie Manning's record this weekend, against the guppies!

Unless they have some crazy wind or a monsoon rain, they are ABSOLUTELY covering against this team! I hate the 72 Dolphins as much as everyone hates today's Patriots! I'm tired of looking at these old fucks get dragged out of mothballs, every time an NFL team ends up 10-0. Most of these guys look like they're on a weekend pass from the cemetary, and their act is VERY tired! Send them back to the old age home, where they belong! I hope security at Gillette Stadium doesn't let the Miami AARP crew into the game this weekend. Nothing would make me happier than for the Patriots to finish this season with THE BEST record, EVER, and make the 72 Dolphins fade into oblivion, FOREVER!

At least Wayne is doing something - FINALLY!

Parcells is a VERY good coach, and I actually think he's a reasonably good talent evaluator. I won't call Parcells "a great coach", because I don't think his record really reflects being "great", and I think that word is used FAR too much. The reality is that since Parcells has left the Giants, he has a 95-81 record, with 3 other teams. While it's a winning record, it's certainly nothing spectacular. The guy won his last Super Bowl in 1990, and he has also NEVER won anything, without Bellichick as his Defensive Coordinator! I like Parcells, personally, as I've always found him to be incredibly entertaining! The guy gave the best press conferences, in the history of the NFL. I just don't think he deserves to be mentioned with the Vince Lombardi's of the world! I think the biggest challenge for Parcells, with Miami, is going to be hiring a coach, and then keeping his nose out of it (which I think might prove to be tough). I certainly think Miami could do a lot worse than Parcells. He at least brings back some credibility, which is DESPERATELY needed in Miami, at this point.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. This isn't about how wealthy the citizens of one city are over another. The reality is that EVERY major American city has its share of wealthy citizens. My point was that the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys have more storied histories, in the NFL than the Miami Dolphins have (their 17-0 season, notwithstanding). Now, as far as Miami's credentials as a good sports city...It's an embarrassment! As I've already stated here in the past, the south is clueless when it comes to pro sports! If there aren't frat parties involved (i.e. college) or cars driving around in circles (NASCAR), the south isn't exactly "tuned in" to its pro sports!
As far as Huizenga is concerned...I honestly don't know much about the guy. I'm not someone who thinks team owners should be involved with on the field decisions (EVER)! Team owners are team owners, because they're supposed to be successful businessmen! If they have the business acumen they're supposed to have, they should be smart enough to hire the right people to run the franchise! I can tell you this...Robert Kraft isn't picking the players the Patriots draft every April, and he certainly isn't signing free agents! He's smart enough to let Scott Pioli and Bill Bellichick run the football operations! Again, owners should keep their noses out of it, and sign the checks!

Dayum, next time why don't you insult us? The NASCAR thing is getting really old. Though I don't follow basketball (what a joke), baseball (it stopped being a REAL game years ago) or golf (could there be more of a lame "sport" out there?), I "do" football at ALL levels and am probably much more animated than any of you men (westerners and yanks alike) when watching a game. I also "do" hockey to the nth degree (believe it or not, we actually have a semi-pro team here at the beach... wow) and am an absolute nut for boxing.
Jones has absolutely NO business whatsoever being involved with football. He's in the same league as bushie on that issue. If you are in it for the money... get the hell out and stay out. The man is single-handedly bringing all hell down on the league over this NFL channel crap. It'll hurt the league, but it'll put big ass bucks in his pocket... so what does he flippin care?
The league in general flat out sucks. EVERYONE is entirely too damned primadonna. We need a return to the smash and bash days. Who the hell cares if they take a couple of minutes to bask in the glory of their having scored? Oh, that's right, it cuts into your "air time" pay from all those pansy ass companies. And all these enclosed stadiums. What the hell sort of true fan (or player for that matter) insists upon having a nice little cozy place to take in the game?
Meh.... Do me a favor, next time don't use the all encompassing stereotype in yer debate. You loose brownie points when some little ass woman, way down deep in S. Texas, comes up swinging with her brass balls.![]()

And for the record, yes, I am a NASCAR head.![]()

It's been said that Bill Bidwell could get $600 million or more for the Arizona Cardinals, a team that hasn't had a significant win in 10 years, and hasn't won a championship since the 1940's. NFL franchises are very hard to come by, and the Dolphins are, according to a recent story on ESPN.com, ranked #15 in value among all NFL franchises.

only if they hire a new coach and get a QB, someone like Romo who can be competitive in his rookie year.

Listen assmunch...Don't tell me that I'm "clueless" on the south! Much to my chagrin, I happen to presently live in Charlotte, NC. I'm speaking from personal experience, not some jackass comedian's routine about hicks from the south! I fucking live here...I see the shit EVERY day! I certainly don't claim the south as my own, and NEVER would! That said, don't tell me I'm clueless about a place I fucking live! I live in a pretty upscale neighborhood, and all these ass backwards people in the south wanted to know, when I moved in with my family, was what church I belonged to and whether or not I happened to be white!
As for the credentials of pro sports fans in the south...I didn't have to move here, to know how clueless southerners were on pro sports! The Atlanta Braves can't even sell out a fucking playoff game! That tells me all I ever need to know about how passionate southerners are about things not related to Jesus! Miami and Atlanta are probably the two worst pro sports cities in America, and if 7th grade geography class taught me anything...It taught me that both places are in the southern part of the United States! One other thing...If you seriously question my point about people in the south not caring about much else, aside from college sports (more specifically basketball and football), and NASCAR, you have obviously never stepped foot in the state of North Carolina!

p.s. "Don't be foolish" in making the mistake that because my signature says that I'm "from Boston" means that I live there!
Greg wrote:Listen dipshit. I live on the NC/VA border and frequent NC quite often. I know all about NC. So STFU. If you don't like where you live, then move back to Boston. The south certainly doesn't need another worthless northern idiot like yourself stinking up the place. Furthermore, your classification of people based completely on where they live shows how ignorant you are. Not all southerns like NASCAR. Maybe more southerns take more pride in college sports than northerns. Maybe that means that southerns are actually smart enough to go to college, while some northerns brag on an internet forum board about their 7th grade education. My advice to you is to shut up, go back and finish 8th through 12th, take some community college classes, then come back and tell us how smart you are.
