Is it a rule that after you've been the lead vocalist for Journey for a few years that you have to fall off the face of the earth when you leave?
Rip Rokken wrote:I did some research on this and nailed down the hospital and foundation contact numbers, and even 1 special event that occurred that evening, but called at the wrong times to reach anyone to confirm it. That info is in another thread -- I think the previous one about Augeri's supposed performance, if anyone wants to look it up. That being said, I could find no details online in the description of that event that indicated he was there at all.

With Journey there is no real official site, and what exists doesn't even report on what the current incarnation of the band is up to save for just giving you a press release that goes out to other sites beforehand.
As for the myspace thing, that's not enough. Regardless of what happened or didn't - (and I still beleive who I talked to until someone can show otherwise), any site worth it's salt would have had photos up and a list of what Steve A supposedly sang. Soto's myspace page certainly would have and does.
So once again, the fans are left to sort it all out. Again this is no knock on Steve A, but I know a lot of his fans deserve a lot more details if in fact he really did perform. A vague blurb on a fan based myspace page just isn't going to cut it.

Gibby wrote:He should treat it like the sterioid scandal in baseball and move on. Just admit that you fucked up, you had an edge when you were struggling, and people will root for you and build you back up. To hide and hope it all goes away is the wrong thing to do. I think there is a lot more sympathy today for Steve then there was a year ago anyway.
Rockindeano wrote:He absolutely knows about my involvement in TG. He knew that when I was with Neal in AC. His cousin works on the road crew. At the time, he questioned Neal about associating with "the guy who is responsible for my career being in crisis"(or something to that extent. He was somewhat mystified at the time. Over time, when I realized the real assholes were Neal and Friga, I wrote Steve an email. He got back to me and has forgiven and forgotten. He definitely is a class act. Here's something to chew on. Trevor's passing brought replies from all the singers and none of the band. THAT should give a clue to you as to who is responsible for this band's disaster.

Refresh and let me know if it's still too big. It should only be 200x170, which is comparable with most others here...
