You rock, RF -- same here. I quit being a party guy years ago, and totally lost faith in the party I at least supported just this last term.

The only trace of Conservatism is in the House on the Republican side. It's the only hope.

How are you feeling about the 2008 elections so far -- any candidates that you feel might be able to turn it around, or are they all just polliticians? I'm leaning toward Huckabee at this point, though I don't consider him a model of conservatism.

That has a life expectancy of about 11 months. The GOP is getting it's collective ass kicked next year. The Congress might go 60-40 in the Senate and 245-190 in the House.

I can only hope Huckabee gets the nomination. If he does, it's a landslide. Please God, for Christmas, nominate Huckabee for me.

I don't care for Huckabee, I'm hoping for Thompson or Rudy. Rudy's a lib at heart I think, but I think he's honest enough to live up to the conservative ideals he campaigns on.

Dude you better just worry about Hillary. Her campaign is telling everyone to downplay Iowa cuz she might finish third. All the major Repub. will beat her down in the general. I'm hoping she gets it.
Notice her campaign started taking on water since Bill's tried to come to her rescue?

RF, I will blow you, on you youtube, if Rudy becomes predsident. You can only invoke 9/11 a million times and he has but a few left. He wont make it til March...he is cooked.

Thompson is a big dumb fucker. Hillary is the smartest one in this race and America's only hope. She is defeating EVERY republican to date. Realclearpolitics.com./ And don't cite me strategic vision or Rasmessen. They are so right they are not valid.

I'm not trusting Rudy, really. Someone brought up an interesting point about him recently -- they said, when all of your kids are estranged from you, what does that say? Interesting point...

It's pretty sad when your argument within the party is who is an evangelical and who is mormon. That speaks volumes. My God people, the Green Party should take the GOP's place in the general election.

Sorry, but this article is bullshit.

#! - Christmas is a pagan holiday which had "Christ" injected into it....not the other way around. NOTHING about how we celebrate Christmas is "Christian". If you are truly a Christian, you should be acting as this guy describes YEAR ROUND - not reserve it for ONE day of the year. Did Jesus ask you to follow in his footsteps...but only one day a year?

#2 - There is no 'war against Christmas". That is invented propaganda rom the Republican party, and conservatives, and is used to piss people off. I'll give an example. A few years ago, Bill O'Rielly aired a segment saying Kohl's employees were told to not say "Merry Christmas". It was bullshit. How do I know? My wife works at a Kohl's. The company even wrote the show asking for a correction - which was ignored. In the end, the company had to inform the employees in case any customer's mentioned it. The funy thing is that people are so naive that they let themselves be emotionaly controled by others.

And, given the FACT that Christmas is really a pagan holiday, why do Christians give a damn what people say?

#3 - About separation of church and state...Even Jesus said to give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's. Yes, it's a bit out of context but Jesus was totaly against Pharisees and such, who were the religious leaders of the time...Jesus did not ask for laws to be changed to favor his followers. He led by example...and asked his followers to do the same. It's too bad that most Christians nowadays strive to be more like the Pharisees then Jesus himself.

Unfortunately, I don't think she wins the nomination. Hopefully she does cuz she's catering to the wacko moveon.org, dailykos loony left. She'll get smoked by any republican. :D You know this to be true.

This is too easy. You guys throw shit out there with NO substance.

Just exactly what has Hillary lied to this country about? She is far more honest than these crooks currently in there, yet you feel the need to spew shit? Look at yourself. You are ignorant. Have you ever looked at her qualifications, or just blow her off cus she aint no hunter?

Carter was weak. The last Democrat who had balls was JFK. Democrats today couldn't even allow liberal Lieberman to remain in their party. JFK was way to the right of Lieberman. JFK would have to be a Republican today. Tax cuts tough on the commies. Republican.

Evade the comment I see. The GOP held power in all three Houses and we were attacked ON AMERICAN soil, and yet you still spin. And for the record, just what are the Taliban suffering? They haven't been defeated in Afghanistan;quite the contrary. You're warped.

The GOP cannot take responsibility.

Actually, Monker, I agree with you especially on point #1. I didn't want to get into it because it opens a huge can of worms, but history is history. That's why I mentioned in another thread the other day that there is no use trying to put the "Christ" back in Christmas because it wasn't His holiday to begin with.

I have absolutely no hang-up with people celebrating Christmas, nor celebrating the birth of Christ on Christmas... I just don't consider it a God-ordained event, and am not especially attached to it other than it being a great time with family. No offense to any of my Christian brethren here... I usually don't even bring this stuff up in conversation.

Not only is Monker 100% correct, but do you religious freaks know Christ was NOT born on December 25th? It cannot be documented but most Theologists say some time in the spring, like April or May.

Why couldn't the CIA and FBI connect the dots Dean? Hint...Jamie Gorelick ring a bell. The wall built so they couldn't communicate or trade intel. We were attacked in '93 with a Democrat pres. House and Senate. All he did was prosecute in a courtroom!!!!!! Didn't exactly break up any future attacks did they. Worthless! At least we're fighting back now, instead of trying to take them in front of Judge Judy. Dem's are still crying cuz we're fighting back. "stop we have to stop...wahhhhh"

Then he's an idiot. For the past six weeks, Hillary's campaign has been run like Journey...They have made some incredibly stupid comments meant to attack Obama, which only made him look better. Then Bill comes out and does some interviews to save the day...but, people are voting for Hillary, not Bill...and there is only so much he can do. At this point, I'd be suprised if she even wins the nomination...I don't care who is running her campaign.
