Father rapes, murders daughter: POLICE

A Brisbane man has been remanded in custody this morning after being charged with the murder, rape and indecent treatment of his daughter.

A 39-year-old unemployed funeral director from Bardon, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court after his 10-year-old daughter's body was found at a house at Bongaree, on Bribie Island, yesterday.

The case has been adjourned until March 10 to allow time for the man to undergo a mental health assessment.

The accused, who is the subject of an involuntary treatment order, had been released from hospital on December 22.

Defence lawyer Neil Lawler said his client would today be taken to the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre to receive further psychiatric treatment.

The man had apparently left his two other children, a teenage girl and a nine-year-old boy, at the Bribie Island house with their dead sister.

He was found at Mount Glorious, west of Brisbane, yesterday afternoon in the company of his seven-year-old son.

Police said the boy was safe and well and he and his siblings are in protective custody.

As well as examining the Bribie Island property where the girl's body was found, police also cordoned off a Uniting Church, directly across the road, and the family's Bardon home.

They seized a blue plastic bag containing several items, which was hanging from a nativity scene in the church grounds.

The handle of what appeared to be a hammer was seen protruding from the top of the bag.

Redcliffe Police Inspector Mark Jones said the find was "unusual''.

It is believed the Bribie Island property was a holiday home the family moved into as recently as Saturday.

I don't know, but I do know this guy is worse then the drunk driver because even though the drunk didn't willfully commit the crime of intentionally crashing into the family's car, the guy in this article you posted apparently did willfully commit his crime. World is full of sick bastards.

What I want to know is why a mental health assessment is even necessary for this ass. Do they have capital punishment in Australia? IMO it should be implemented in any case of abuse against a child, and it should be that way in every country. He needs his privates dipped in hot oil. God only knows what the other children have been through.

Rape him, treat him badly, then kill him. Repeat the first two steps if you want, just do them before you do the last step.

You have to be kidding me right? For the past 26 yrs we have been bombarded with ads on tv, in print, radio about drinking and driving. Let me guess, this is the one stupid fucked up jack ass in America that hasnt seen/heard any of this. The moment this idiot had a drink and knew he was going to drive somewhere, that is premeditation. Too bad the drunk won't fry.
When in doubt, DUCK!

Sad thing too that he probably won't even get much jail time for that, either.

I strongly believe that Australia DOES NOT have capital punishment. If it's like America in Australia, he'll plead insane and be put in prison for the rest of his life. I never understood the reasoning behind that before. It takes an insane mental person to kill someone for no reason. So why is it that being insane will spare them from being executed?

Sure he's got to be held accountable for his bad judgement and poor actions. But I'm simply saying that the jerkoff didn't base his night of drinking on a plan that he'd go out and kill someone afterwards. Premeditation is if witnesses at the bar overheard him saying that he intends to drink until he's drunk and then he's going to go out and intentionally crash into another vehicle to kill someone. As far as we all know, he didn't make any such comment.

I'm sure the family who lost their children doesn't care about such things. The bar who served him should be held accountable as well.

Regardless of what happens, the family of the victims will forever be changed and the guy who caused the accident in the first place by driving drunk, he completely flushed the rest of his entire life down the shitter. Some take that gamble and make it home, some get pulled over and slapped with a DUI, and then there are these cases where the worst possible thing that could happen happened. That's why I don't drink period. Because it is way to easy to have a drink, then another, then another and next thing you know your waking up at the scene of a terrible accident where you just killed an innocent person. That would fuck me up mentally for life, that's why I don't drink.
