According to the Frig in an interview that I have, the lyrics were purposely left off to give the listeners the fun of listening and paying attention to figure them out themselves. I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it.

Interesting...I have to say, that it has never been one of my favorite Journey tracks - it was always a track I skipped, however the lyrics are pretty good.

I'm still trying to figure out some of the adlibs SP did during songs in concert. Makes for a fun time......Boy, do I need a life!
