Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley are the creators of the Journey Scarab and the artwork of all the classic covers.

This is an interesting interview that will answer many Qs about the artwork -- http://members.tripod.com/~jrnyfan/welchinterview.html

Journey has nowhere near the best album art....

...but, they are still in the upper echelon. Better than most. LOVE the continued themes of the scarab, winged disc, mobius curve, and so on...

I just wish Frontiers and RoR (FREEDOM) would've stuck to the originally planned theme... and that the first three albums pre-Perry had better artwork.

Love their album covers! I'm actually cross-stitching these 2 (my favorites).....when I have time, will take forever to finish. A friend has software that will print out a template/pattern of any picture and I thought these would look pretty cool framed on the wall downstairs. :)

......and have the template for this one.

I really like the TBF artwork. I know I'm in the minority on that one.
