Yes, very visual. And so far, Journey is exactly 50/50 on giving me lead singers I enjoy looking at.
The two with the S initials... not too shabby! The two with the A initials... not so much.

Dug the shit out of Byron Scott and his #2 guard play. Loved "Silk", Jamaal Wilkes and his 20 foot layup. Who could forget Mark Landsburger and Gail fucking Goodrich? How about Stormin Norman out of Duchesne. Loved Riles coaching, and even dug Keith Erickson in the Booth with Chickie Baby. Met Dr Buss and hung with Jerry West once for a game. I KNOW Laker basketball. I just spoke in code that only a true Laker fan would know.

You da man...Those were the real glory days, better than anything the Shaq/Kobe Lakers put together despite the 3 championships in a row.

Hey, Gregg Rolie's kinda sexy. Where's his love?
Well, by calling him sexy, you just gave him his love.![]()
I was going for the official singers... do we call Gregg "official"?
Either way, he was Journey's official pimp with those clothes.![]()

Both SA and AP aren't unattractive guys, but IMO they just don't have the sex appeal and "it" factor that SP and JSS do. Hell Perry is almost 60, isn't even entertaining anymore and he still exudes it.

Pfff.
No mystery there.
The Infinity sleeve doesn't lie.
Dude can play the Roland and Hammond without his hands touching the keys and then polevault right out from behind it to take a bow.

Yikes.
"It Factor"s (don't get it, btw) and "Sex appeal" I can't believe we're all fans of this band and the vastly different reasons why.

Er, one second, JSS.
A very much In-The-Know fan stated above, in dogmatic matter of fact fashion, that those bg vox ARE prerecorded.
What're you trying to sell here, that being there makes you know more than some fans posting here? Come on.
JSS wrote:I pulled away from the vocals at times where Deen sang unison (in music terms means the same notes as I) on certain songs, I would 'cheerlead' the crowd to sing by not doing so on the mic...have always done this on anthemic songs with any band I've been in, especially when the crowd knows the song as well as the creator. Hi JSS - I totally understand that, it just "looked" strange because that's such a strong chorus and to have the lead singer not sing that part just threw me for a curve. But that 2nd part harmony really stands out in that vid and sounds very "pre recorded" perhaps there's some live note correction going on? In any event, thanks for putting your .02 in, very interesting!
But back on topic.. So for those bashing Arnel's stage presence, you would be cool to see him for the first time with moves like JSS in this vid? I have to admit I personally probably wouldn't be ok with it. The man has zero credibility with long term Journey fans, he has to win me over vocally first. Maybe in time he can come out swinging and it will look natural, but I tend to think if he comes out all energetic, etc, it may look fake. Kind of like Gary Cherone with VH.

Well allow me to clarify, good Lu.
What this is is a rather sizeable yet passive/aggressive shot across the bow of JSS, first (lidicrously) indicating that JSS' personal knowledge about what the poster accused of being tapes was but 2 cents, ergo opinion only and then (incredibly)accusing him of lying about those 2 cents and the vox being real upon Jeff's clarification.
We then move onto to criticism of JSS' stage persona as being fake, by mentioning various traits JSS stage shows contain (without saying JSS did them) and hoping that AP doesn't do those things which Gary Cherone did in VH, which also looked fake.
The poster seems to think they're being cute, but would probably get more bang for the buck by just manning up and directly confronting and criticizing Jeff.
