No argument there. Vick was a sorry excuse for an NFL QB. He would have been a great running back, but was NEVER cut out for playing QB in the NFL! No QB in the history of the NFL has received more publicity for accomplishing so little in the NFL!

It really tells a lot about a person. What kind of person(s) get entertainment, enjoyment, satisfaction, etc. out of pitting two animals, whether it be dogs, birds, etc. against one another? One other sad thing about dog fighting is many times the perps will go to some other neighborhood and steal someones pet and use it for practice with their fighting animal. The laws should be much more serious for this type of crime then what it currently is now.

I am just sickened at the prospect of him getting out even ONE DAY early, let alone 1/2 his sentence. Does anyone have a link to a story about this?

He did some bad shit, but Michael Vick is very talented.

And I am sure that they had all this planned from the beginning. Yeah he is really sorry for what he did....oops I mean for getting caught. I hope you are right and he never plays football again. It would serve him right.

He has a god-given talent of being able to run really fast! That's where it begins and ends! He's the most OVERHYPED athlete in the history of the NFL! The media gave Vick more publicity than Brady and Manning combined, which is flat out RIDICULOUS!

No, THAT would be Donovan McNabb, over whom I'd still take Vick.

That's how bad and overrated I think the latter IS.

Oh I hope, St John I HOPE you get stuck with McpickSix in Chicago next year.

Oh please no, JoePa! However, McNabb is better than the choices we have here in Chicago. I don't think the Bears will ever have a superstar QB.

How so? He's never thrown for 3,000 yards...like virtually EVERY other quarterback has. His lifetime TD-Interception ratio is 71-52. The guy is awful. He has no intangibles like leadership, determination and/or charisma. He's NOT a team player either. The guy is the epitome of a self-centered, ghetto waste of talent. He can run....big fucking deal. As a complete package, he sucks. Period. BTW, they could've taken LaDainian Tomlinson instead. He's all class and talent.

This is about the best synopsis that I've seen of Vick! The guy simply isn't an NFL QB, period, end of story! He wasn't good before he became a puppy murderer, and nothing will change, if he comes back!

I'll take Burt Grossman or Grossy Grossman, or whover that other Gators flop qb is over McStigmata right now.
And Brian Griese. And Bob Griese.

Brian Griese is OK. I wasn't into football when his pops was playing, so I can't comment on Bob. I'm sure Bob Griese probably didn't fumble snaps as many times in his entire career as Grossman does in one season. On his best day, good old Rexy is just below average. Lord help the Bears on a bad Rex day.

By the way, I agree with many of the other posters in this thread. Vick should rot in jail for a long time.

Bingo! Overhyped by the social consious sports media who wants to see a black QB succeed, which is what Rush said about McNabb. It's the truth, which he was fired for speaking. :?

If you want some quality black QBs look no further than Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, and David Garrard.

Wait, how come the media isn't embedded in THEIR assholes?

Nobody said McNabb wasn't a quality QB, just that McNabb was overhyped or given more credit than he deserved.

I'd take Michael Vick over Marcus Vick. But that's like choosing death by mauling over having your skin peeled off slowly in a tub of lemons and salt. Both are disgraceful and disappointing.
