It's obvious that they want to make a "statement" with the way they dressed up for this promo shot.
Black carries a powerful message in the rock biz.

Actually,I haven't seen a "colorful" pic of Journey since the ROR days.Even the TBF promo shots were made in the same dark *code*.Not to mention the Augeri era shots,well except the red leather.

This new pic is really cool.The stairway idea is a pretty smart one....

Reminds me of the TBF photos where everyone thought Steve looking away was a sign.

What's the sign here, the whole band is a the top of the ladder, except Arnel. Last in, first out?

Have to say I'm surprised they look this good standing together. Arnel surprisingly doesn't feel out of place like he did in that warehouse shot of them with the cat. Kudos to the stylists who dressed them up. Neal is the only one that looks strange. Like his skin is unnaturally smooth. Face lift?

Thank god Ross doesn't look like the drag queen from the MelRock feature 'Drew did! Whoever kudo'd Arnel's dress needs to pass that on to Ross' as well!

It's true that for promo work it seems like the band wears black. Augeri always sorta stood out with his clothes. It was the one thing I liked because it gave a little attention to him. Much the same with Arnel having the touch of white. Eben though he is down below, the white makes him stand out a little...but not TOO much! I thought the promo's with JSS at Red Rocks were alright. The colors were muted, but they weren't all black!
