2008 Journey promo shot

Like the photo except for the sunglasses on everyone. Not a fan of that look in photos or on stage.

And to see three of them wearing them looks ridiculous in my opinion. Photographer must have been using too bright a flash.... =)

I know, what's with the glasses lately? I can thing of maybe 2 or 3 pics in the past with sunglasses (and those were Perry, which was always comical...). Now it's... what.. part of the Journey uniform or something? Black glasses and black clothes...

...although for a dying band... appropriate.

There is one I remember, from I think around the time just pre Escape, and I think they are even bigger than those shades believe it or not.

Let me look. Are you sure it's pre-escape? He has some pretty big shades on in some of the ROR shots.

And I was thinking THAT same thing. Two pics spring to mind.
One of them is from '86... red open shirt and sunglasses the size of a billboard. (psssst... I think it was to play down the nose... ha ha!!)
The other was a b&w pic from around 81 or so... with even BIGGER glasses.

Black carries a powerful message in the rock biz.

Actually,I haven't seen a "colorful" pic of Journey since the ROR days.Even the TBF promo shots were made in the same dark *code*.Not to mention the Augeri era shots,well except the red leather.

This new pic is really cool.The stairway idea is a pretty smart one....

Reminds me of the TBF photos where everyone thought Steve looking away was a sign.
