Steve Perry will be "spinning around in a spell" when he hears their 2008 plans!!! THAT I can say with certainty.

He probably thinks the same thing of Arnel that he thought of Augeri and Soto: "Yawn!".
Honestly, I think Perry has moved so far on he couldn't care less about the singer du jour, no matter how talented.

Absolutely correct, John. You always have a distinct way of saying things right to the point without sounding quite as sarcastic as some of the rest of us, me included.Enigma869 wrote:larryfromnextdoor wrote:dont you think it irks him big time when he hears their radio ads about touring.. and in the paper.. perry mad as an old hornet right now..
I think Perry is WAY beyond being mad, hearing about a nostalgia, oldies concert coming to a local state fair. Let's not forget that Perry sold out 20K seat arenas and larger, while he was with Journey. The fact that they're "packing in" 5,000 people to listen to the songs that his voice made famous probably makes the guy laugh. I think as a fan of music, he probably thinks Arnel has a great singing voice. I just don't think Perry has ever felt ANY connection to the guys who have called themselves Journey since he departed the band. As I've said before, Perry looks better, with each dopey move Journey makes. Remember, they are trying to imitate HIS sound much more so than they've ever tried moving on without him! I think the facts speak for themselves, and much more so now, than ever before!

Probably the same as what Elvis would think about the latest Elvis impersonator.

Dude. I'm tired of seeing this posted everywhere. There's a far cry difference between Journey moving on with new singers, and Elvis impersonators. It's quite the reach man.

I wonder if he ever felt a connection to anyone but himself even while in the band.
