Me... still one of my favorite bands. 8)

There is something to be said for the demand that being one of the few bands of the era with their original lineup intact, excepting vivian, obviously. As long as they are touring with a Styx, Foreigner, Journey, etc they will be at the top of the bill - Which is kind of funny because Leppard was never bunched in with those bands during their heyday....REO just doesn't have the drawing power that Styx and Foreigner do, despite having the original lineup.

REO was here with Journey during the STYX/REO/Journey tour, and again last summer at the San Mateo County Fair (!). Missed them then because my son happened to get married the same day...damn priorities get me every time. LOL!

My question is this: while not a huge draw in the SF Bay Area (I like them), I've heard they sell out huge venues in the midwest. Is this true?

I dunno how much/often they sell concert-wise here in Ohio, but they do have a pretty big following. In fact, my football coach in high school was what got me into REO Speedwagon! He had THREE REO Speedwagon tattoos and listened to them in his office all the time. He was into the older stuff, pretty much everything pre-Hi Infidelity... so I was surprised when I mentioned to my parents that I loved REO Speedwagon.. and they laughed so hard they about shit! That's when Dad brought out his old vinyls of HI and Wheels Are Turnin' and showed me why he laughed.. haha.

Well, if Journey has to go the double-bill dinosaur route, then I'd kinda like to see Cheap Trick again.
