Wow, with the exception of Arnel (cause I know he's not bald), that's probably what the rest of Journey look like in their spare time without the makeovers. That makes them look like they are from the future, where hair is no longer needed. I'll try and put together a photochop. Looks fun.

I guess we gotta have a little drama to season the Photoshop Thread. It wouldn't be MR without it!

OK, so there are bunch of people that bang on Pineda because he sounds similar to Steve Perry and because of that, they don't want to support this current incarnation of Journey. They say JSS and the way he sang was a "vessel" that could expand Journey past the dirty-dozen. Then there is Jeremy, I can say without a doubt that he would have been a fine choice but the band went a different direction. Which caused lots of consternation vs. support.

In today's Roanoke article about Jeremy and Journey we see this line:
And sure enough, there they were, trying to look inconspicuous on a park bench by a big fountain, listening to a cover band playing their songs, with a singer who sounded remarkably like the guy who originally sang them.

Question-If Jeremy did the re-recordings would you treat that situation the same way you treat it with Arnel? I mean...it's the same thing right?
Pineda -"I'm just here to celebrate the legacy of Journey."

LOL! Yeah, I'd posted that one a while back, and it's hilarious. There was another one of Perry as Conan the Barbarian...

I'm confused...

If you don't know how to use Photoshop, how do you get all those hilarious avatars made?

I don't think people have a problem with AP sounding like Perry. I believe the problem is with Schon and Co deciding to try and recreate the sound of Perry and thus showing the fans a lack of creative drive and courage. I have a problem with the classics being re-recorded period, does not matter who is singing. With JSS at the helm there was hope of getting out from under the coat tails of Perry. Who is it that is living in the past now, Neal?
Until we meet again, may God

Hugo, perhaps, yes. Jeremey - hell, no. Flawless and perfect. Plus - get this - STAGE PRESENCE!!!

I think Jeremey is good, very good. However, and I will take shit for this for certain, he is not nearly as good as AP.

Ditto that.

Get PhotoShop Elements and learn how to use the clone tool, which allows you to paint part of a photo onto a different photo. It's really simple to use and learn the cloning feature, and PhotoShop Elements (a cheap $80.00 stripped-down version of PhotoShop) is not nearly as intimidating and cumbersome as the full version of PhotoShop. I'm sure there are free tools online that can do the cloning feature. Does anyone know of a good one?

The opposite is true for me. I think Arnel is a very good singer, but Jeremey is a heck of a lot better.
