Seriously, I was walking home in dress shoes and dress clothes and these black dudes were playing basketball, and they called me out, or I called them out, I can't remember. I popped 4 ES Vikes and went White Kobe. Annihilated those bruthas. Wasn't close.

Point- Vicodin rules ass.

I work with some doctors that will not even prescribe vicodin anymore because it is the most addictive of all pain meds. Most people that are addicted to pain meds are addicted to Vicodin-aka Lortab and hydrocodone.

It's also the least effective. I took vicodin/hydrocodone when I had my wisdom teeth taken out, and within 2 days....it didn't work. Darvaset (sp??) is another one that's REALLY shitty. Xanax are the only one's I can take and actually have something happen to me (usually sleep)

Everyone's different, it works well for some people. I personally HATE it, I take it and it makes me super sleepy but I can't fall asleep-it sucks. I've only taken it a few times but I hated it those few times.

OK, enough of my nursely info here....let's get back to the subject at hand.....wait, what is the subject at hand????

something

Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she woos me

I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe her now

Somewhere in her smile she knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in her style that shows me

Don't want to leave her now
You know I believe her now

You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around now it may show
I don't know, I don't know

Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me

Don't want to leave her now
You know I believe her now

I like you stevew2! I agree, there's way too much overmedicating that goes on! Doctor's prescribe meds because they have to make their patients (customers) happy so they basically prescribe whatever they ask for. People need to be more willing to try alternative methods of pain control. Don't get me wrong, pain meds have their place but they are WAY overused!!!! I've had surgery twice in my life and didn't use any pain meds beyond the first post-op day-I used alternative methods-worked better than meds!

Uh-oh, we're side tracked again, better get back to "or something"

While I was watching TV I heard the media blame the poll first on the pollsters. Then Chris Matthews said it was the white people that spoke with forked tongues. Then they said it was Hillary crying the other day. Then they said it was women that lied at the exit poll saying they would vote for Obama and then didn't. I don't know what it was and I don't really care. I am just glad that Hillary won. I'm not saying I don't like Obama, I agree with the other poster that said we don't really know what he stands for except change. But until he decides what the changes will be and lets us know......not interested in him. I am still hoping for a Clinton/Edwards ticket.

The media all use the same outlet to get their numbers. They do this to save money so I've heard.

Yeah, and at the time the media called the state for Gore, Bush was ahead in the vote count. Made no sense to me since the red panhandle polls hadn't even closed yet. I don't even think Gore led at any time. Sorry. :D

I don't think it matters one iotta. Seriously dude. There isn't a republican candidate that could take on either Obama or Clinton at this point. The republican's have so egregiously fucked up over the past several years that it's opened the doors for pretty much a dem race. Our next president is coming out of the democrat party. The democrat national convention might as well be the inauguration.

If Rove gets his smear machine going, who knows. If the GOP was smart, they would "sacrifice" an old timer (McCain) and lose this one, and retool for 2012, much like they did with Bob one armed Dole, in 2000.

Don't agree with a lot of your crap, but this thought might have a little merit to it.

NH was either fixed or racial.

Someone fronted the theory that it was simply a case of more of the independents going over to vote republican than dem. I'm not sure which message that sends...that independents (which NH has alot of them) who would have voted Democrat in this upcoming presidential election, cast a vote for mccain for one reason or another...and Obama votes got lifted by McCain.

I dunno, I'm thinking out of my ass...

But it might just be that the Clinton machine needed to get some oil and a kick start before it started to churn it out.

I'm not ready to think fix yet. Keep in mind that alot of background forces, media, etc seem to want Obama to win this thing...I'd be more skeptical of poll data (which is infinitely easier to shape/fix) prior to the election. It's a hell of a lot easier for the media to explain away why they got the polls wrong than why they got the election wrong.

I suspect if there was any hanky panky here, it was the pollsters shaping the polls to provide for a favorable outcome for Obama, in advance of the NH primary to sway voters to obama. Remember, about a month ago, the polls had Hillary blowing the doors off of Obama and every other democrat candidate. Overnight, Obama's tied/leading in the polls....

that sounds more fishy to me than the election itself being fixed.

Rockindeano wrote:Oh and btw, to you more astute persons who know a little politics, even though my candidate won, I do think, believe, NH had a Bradly effect.

What the Bradley effect means is(Bradley was a black candidate in California), that many are interviewed and polled and they say that they will vote Obama(in this instance), but once in the safety of the voting booth, they have the security and privacy of the ballot curtain, meaning, once in, they vote for the white candidate.

Now, NH was a primary state versus a caucus state (Iowa). In a caucus, you cannot hide behind a curtain. You go to a firehouse, church, restaurant, home, whatever, and go stand by like minded individuals in a certain area, without a curtain.

Just sayin....

IOWA CAUCUS ROCKS... did it loved it...the dems have a great time... our repubican cacus is whimpy... we do a ballot and then work on policy... the dems are having a party trying to get the undecided voters to go to either barak or hillary or edwards...

if there was not the iowa caucus to start the process....you would not see the canidates going door to door.. you would just see billions of dollars going to the big states... with tv adds and mail... and nothing else...the grass roots of it all would die... and that is a BAD
THING.

I forgot to address the very question in this post..."Thoughts on New Hampshire" I think New Hampshire is a FABULOUS state! How the hell can anyone not like a state that puts "Live Free or Die" directly on its license plate...the greatest slogan, EVER! Doesn't Idaho put "Famous Potatoes" on their license plate (Where is Nat, when I need her). Also, I believe NH is one of only two states in the union (I believe Alaska is the other) that has ZERO income tax AND ZERO sales tax!

1- Idaho sucks. It has some beautiful places, Couer d' Alene, Sandpoint but the rest of the state looks like my unwiped ass. Kep your fuckin 4 electoral college votes and circle the wagons around that wide stanced Larry Craig.

2- NH is a slave state caught on the wrong side of Washington DC.
3- Having NO sales tax and NO income tax is a recipe for disaster.

Dean...

What the hell are you talking about??? A slave state???? HUH? As for your assertion that having no sales tax and no income tax being "a recipe for disaster", you haven't been to NH, if you truly believe this! NH is actually a VERY affluent state, and has a well-run government. NH has NEVER had a sales or income tax, and somehow or another, never been close to "disaster". Southern NH is a bedroom community of Boston (only 30 miles north of the city), and has a TON of wealth!

Also, NH must be doing something right, because it consistently ranks in the top three states to live in (it is presently ranked number one, for liveablity). It is also ranked number one as the healthiest state to live in! I can tell you this...they must be doing something right in NH, to always rank so high, because they're not getting any points for the weather! The winters are BRUTAL! Nothing personal Dean, but I can't just sit by and let a Californian tell me what a mess NH is! It's a FABULOUS state, and I'm not even from there!

Jesus, do I have to educate you on all things political!  j/k/

"Slave state" refers to a state (as in a southern state), that once upon a time had slaves, that's all. NH is a lovely place, no arguing from me. Love that place. NH's political make up is much like Virginia, NC and Florida.

My "recipe for disaster" comment was a bit too strong. Take a state like Oregon. They have NO sales tax, and it's cool when you have a 1.56 to your name, and you are in the drive thru at McDonald's, and you don't have to figure out the tax :) However, Oregon's lack of a sales tax hits you straight in the eyes once you leave that drive thru, and drive on roads full of pot holes and ruts. My point is a tax is necessary, to enable all the features a state needs. Perhaps NH is the exception to the rule, and maybe they get away with it due to it's size. There aren't a whole lot of roads to maintain in NH!
