One of my VH favorites too.It was really good to hear it again.Shit, gotta get rid of my Daughtry CD soon!

Btw,the location is surely in LA.I recognized the sign of the Orpheus Theatre (I think it's on Broadway),but I guess the video was done on the building across it.
Loved Sammy's looks as well, but Alex creeped me out. :o

That's all fine and dandy...but when the hell are you gonna call me again???

Thanks for ID-ing the building, Laura. I figured it was in LA, but wasn't quite sure of the actual location.

At one time, we had a framed VH poster hanging in our office. Whenever my three year-old niece would visit, she would scream bloody murder because Alex scared the bejeebers out of her. We finally took the poster down and upon closer scrutiny, it dawned on me that he had the appearance of one of those people you warn your kids to stay away from. What was the word you used - oh yeah, creepy!

Great album indeed

Not Enough is an amazing ballad. Balance is a really great record! One of my all time favorites! :D The Seventh Seal is my favorite off of it. I was very happy to see it played live in 2004 by VH.

i wonder if they included wolfgang in the band to try and get some of the younger audience out there.i know wolfgang can't be but 17 or 18 at most.might've made that move to seem like they weren't going entirely oldie went the original lineup.it remains to be seen just how much wolfgang does or doesn't bring to the table but those mighty anthony backup vocals are a strong part of the van halen sound that you've been hearing come out of truck speakers for so many summers now.

I don't like that song at all but it does have some interesting playing by Eddie.

I like Amsterdam.

I used to love Amsterdam until about '98 and now I hate it save for the last 15 seconds (unfortunately faded out) when Eddie does that very cool little swaggering noodling to bring the song home.

But a weed song? Just conceptually, lyrically bankrupt. That kinda shit worked in the Dave era.

I like it reminds. For some reason it reminds me of a more mellow version of Im A Viking by YM

Likewise.

And that's how vapid Hagar's lyrics can be, that at times I CAN'T block out his cliches.

Wolfgang's approaching his 17th birthday, which is five days after my 20th birthday.

Take it from this member of the "younger audience," I would've MUCH rather have seen Mad Mike Anthony thumpin' on the bass. If anything, the news that Wolfgang would be playing made me spend LESS money on the Van Halen tour than I would've. ;)

That said, I enjoyed the show with WVH and look forward to hopefully some new material with him on the bass. Wolfie's got a lot of years ahead of him, hopefully he becomes a classy megastar with a dozen incredible albums.

Nonsense. I still maintain that "Hot, sweet cherries on the vine" is one of the all-time great rock lyrics.

Well then at least atoms are safe around you and Hagar because neither of you will be splitting them any time soon.

I'd rather split a bottle of tequila with him anyway.

Very good ballad from Van Hagar. Eddie's piano skills/composition abilities are pretty underrated imo. His piano/keys stuff is simple, but melodic and very conducive to catchy vocal melodies. The vocal harmonies are really good in this song too w/ the call and response "It's not enoughs." Only thing I'm not crazy about in this song is Eddie's solo... what he played is trademark Eddie but I would have liked to have heard something more melodic in the vein of "Love Walks In" or "Dreams"
