For classic Dokken, "Under Lock And Key" is probably my all-time favorite, but "Tooth And Nail" (the prior album) and "Back For The Attack" are also excellent. I also like "Breaking The Chains", but not quite as well.

"Dysfunctional" ended up being a Dokken reunion album and was quite different style-wise, and "Shadowlife" was their attempt to sound "grunge"... most fans hate that album. George Lynch (guitar) left for good after "Shadowlife", but I've liked everything they've put out since then. Reb Beach (Winger) plays on "Erase The Slate", John Norum (Europe, Don Dokken solo) plays on "Long Way Home", and Jon Levin (very Lynch-ish) plays on "Hell To Pay", and also the new one soon to be released.

Start with "Under Lock And Key"... :P Tell me what you think!

Haha... I thought about that right after I'd posted... Definitely a great album, and you need to check it out!

I saw George Lynch a few times in the early and mid 80's at shitty little clubs with 50 people attending...he was mind boggling good. My guitarist took a few lessons from him at Musonia when he filled in for Randy...I used to try to finish my bass lessons early to watch the end of his. George in a little room with a shitty little practice amp was just awesome to see and hear...

Man, you need "Back For The Attack"! Starts off with another killer Don Dokken U-Done-Me-Wrong song, "Kiss of Death", about some chick who lures him into the sack and gives him AIDS.... :P

Yikes!

Here, go to this page and stream "Kiss Of Death", then let me know what you think! http://mog.com/music/Dokken

If you want a sample of the new Dokken w/JSS on backing vox, play "Oasis" from http://www.myspace.com/dokken1

:P

The first one is okay.

Oh, I've heard the second one! 8)

Thanks!
