In Oakland? I saw them there in '76, '79 and at the Shoreline in '89. The year the SPIN packages started for FTLOSM ('84?) I could have flown to Miami for a benefit and met them all; they hung out with fans all day and Maurice did a cruise with the fans. Hubby said no, and now I could kick myself for not insisting.
So when it came time for Puerto Rico - HA! I told him he better NOT stand between me and SP!

yup, saw the bee gees at oakland coliseum. my seats were at the furthest point from the stage. this was before journey started the trend of video screens, so it was kinda disappointing seeing them as little dots on the stage.
i really regret not going to the SP show in puerto rico.

Uh uh.
No.
Not before Some Girls, no way.
Christ Infinity's better than VH I. And Journey, platinum be damned, struggled MIGHTILY with Infinity in my esteem (so bad it could and SHOULD've been an EP w/ Lights, Wheel, Anytime/Felling That Way).
I chose Infinity in haste. I should have picked VH's debut. That is a better record for sure.ProgRocker53 wrote:Red13JoePa wrote:Saint John wrote:I voted for Van Halen.

Van Halen's debut album is an absolute tour de force, man. Infinity's not as bad as you say it is.... Lights, WITS, FTW/AT, Somethin' to Hide, and Winds of March are all MONSTER tracks. Sure, La Do Da (studio) and Can Do are duds, but the rest of the album is solid as fuck.
