Vote for your favorite album of these from 1983...

My vote goes to "Frontiers" just barely over "Texas Flood".

Between Pyromania, Shout At The Devil, and Frontiers...I'm stumped on this one!

True, all great stuff. You should just go ahead and vote for Frontiers. You know you want to.

That was the album where ZZ Top went to a much more commercial sound and, in my opinion, led to their eventual decline. "Eliminator" and "Afterburner" were good albums but I prefer the more pure blues/hard rock sound of that band in the 70s and early 80s.

Kinda the same thing goes for Genesis. They put out some good stuff in the 80s but I much prefer their 70s material.

Had to go with Huey Lewis BECAUSE (and I do have a reason), I was not a Journey fan until 1985. So...this WAS my favorite album that year although Frontiers is far and away the better record.

:D :D :D I swear I never even listen to it now! Really! I got into Journey's back catalog in 1985. So if I answered how I feel NOW, it would be Frontiers. But THEN it was "Sports". Unfortunately, I wasn't high then, either....

I have to ignore Journey in every poll that has them listed...I'd choose them automatically. :)
Back in '83 it was all about Bryan Adams for me,so his album gets my vote.

I had to give Frontiers a slight edge over Pyromania and Shout At The Devil! I almost wanted to give my vote to Def Leppard to balance out some of the Journey bias, but couldn't do it

Yeah, it was a great album. You named several of my favorites from the album, "Caught In The Game" "Jackie Don't Go" "It Doesn't Have To Be This Way" "Slander" were the best songs on the album.
