Nope- that's only four of them- not sure about the other two...they're all still only relevant in Japan? That's my guess...

All of these bands have released new albums within the past year or two that have been a creative risk, a new direction, an updated feel, and artistic step forward for them.

Most of these bands failed to be relevant in the public's eye at all after the early 90s came and passed. Did that stop them from moving forward and tackling something new, something different from what they had done before? Nope.

All of these bands released what are possibly some of their best works this late into their career that will likely be looked back on as some of their finest music. A lot of Toto fans I have talked to seem to agree that Falling in Between is their best album, period.

They are unlike Journey in that very way. Instead of progressing forward in a new direction with a new singer and scaling new heights, Journey has resigned to perform their hit singles to a nostalgia audience. Great move, guys.

That is my point! Shocked nobody else saw the similarities.

I didn't think Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell III was any huge risk or new diection...however the tour he undertook to promote it sounded incredible. Playing all 3 CDs...now THAT is how you stand behind your new material.

I took the wife to see him in Cleveland. He did play material from all 3, nowhere near in their entirety though if that's the impression you had. Good show though. Couple nice pieces of eyecandy on stage didn't hurt.

Um no actually I believe the textbook definition of a "Fag" is British for a cigarette or American slang for a person of homosexual orientation. I don't remember webster referencing pussy count in any of it's definitions. I'm just saying. :D

I think you should throw financial comparisons in there too when defining success. I mean, if possible at all, take all of these band's separate incomes and then let everyone decide who is doing what is right. Most of us wanted Journey to take a new musical direction, however, the bucks don't lie. If they are indeed making tons of jack off of the catalogue, then I really don't blame them for doing what they are doing.

Life is short. Make enough money that your grandkids will enjoy it too. Business is business. Being a band doesn't make you any less of a company than any of other board of directors.

Should GM start building motorcycles or airplanes? No. They're good at trucks.

Humanity Hour 1 is a prime example, I think this is one of the best albums the Scorpions have done.

I saw them something like 2 months ago. They're still going strong as ever.Meine's pipes impressed me,as well as the tightness of the band.
I don't care what kind of an abracadabra is Meine using on stage (he has a special custom made mic and stuff like that) fact is that he can deliver flawlessly for almost 2 hours.
I have some pics uploaded on my Myspace. It was an awesome show.

Going back to Neal's divorces..I can only find the names of three (ex) wives:
Dina, Beth and last, Amber. Anyone know of any other names? Also, The two little ones, Aja and Sophia are Amber's, but who is Miles's mom? Sarah and Lizzy too?

Yes, I am writing a book!!
Well, I wish someone would write the entire Journey Story...these type of books are selling like crazy now 8) .

Peace&Music, all
