Faithfully...How Did This Dude Get 5 Stars?

Postby Enigma869 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 8:42 am

Certainly has a reasonable enough voice, but talk about butchering lyrics! ARRRRGGHHHHH!!!!! I hate when people fuck with this song. Even with all the fucked up lyrics, it's still a hell of a lot better than Cain singing it!

I could crank it out on a .50 kazoo and it would be better than listening to Cain sing it. :x

I'd venture to guess that 90% of MelodicRock posters could sound better than what he did. The wheels going 'round and we all need the clowns parts are just horrendous. But, hey... it's the Frigster. What'dya expect... Perry?

He even got the lyrics wrong. He does have a nice voice though.

YouTube is turning into an audition stage.

Someone check Neal's YouTube account - see which ones he's got "favorited".
Then we can speculate which one will be announced as the singer in December.

He doesn't sound like Perry at all of course, but I checked out a few of his other vids and I think that guy has a very good voice.
He does a great job singing like Aaron Neville. His Ave Maria is very good...and thats a hard song to sing.
Still sounds like he's channeling Neville not Cooke, but he does a great job on "Change Is Gonna Come" also.

I'm with you here, Larry! I'd be a very happy man to have pipes like that. The guy can definitely sing. I was just amazed at how badly he fucked up the lyrics. I assumed the music I heard in the background was a Karaoke track. The guy is obviously looking at his computer monitor the entire time, so I also assumed the lyrics were right there in front of his face. Then again, maybe he needs an update of the eyeglass prescription

no foolin.. if your looking at the lyrics and mess them up, singing live from memory with people standing in front of you with their arms crossed might REALLY mean bad news..... 8)

Good voice, but he should learn the song before he attempts it.

He actually sounds Aaron Neville-ish.

I had thought about redoing my karaoke versions on youtube but I have done something to my voice.. I cant sing like I did a year ago. I got a sinus infection in jan 07 and its been "broken" ever since.. Lame... Oh well, there are other things to sing that are not so high and I was really on the edge doing it anyway.... For those you may not have heard them...

I can just imagine what the comment was, coming from you, Dean! Apparently it wasn't G-Rated (how shocking  ), because it looks like it got deleted!
