OT- Cheesy TV Shows

Okay, fess up. Any guilty pleasures? I'll start. in the late 90s I was a huge fan of Lorenzo Lamas and his show, RENOGADE. In it he played a long haired former cop turned bounty hunter out out to clear his name after his girl friend is shot to death. I loved that show. Loved that hair. Sigh....

My mother was a big Y and R fan. The thjing with soap operas is, you can not watch for twenty years, turn it on, and find out that they're still on the same story line.

Growing up I loved these shows, but trying to watch them now, they seem cheeeeeezzzzzy as hell :lol:

This one is easy for me. Let me preface my response by saying I was all of about 10 years old when all these ridiculous shows were on the air, but I watched every one of them:

Dukes Of Hazard (Catherine Bach was the most smoking hot chick I had ever seen back in those days)

Incredible Hulk (Bill Bixby gets mad and turns into a green Lou Ferrigno)

Six Million Dollar Man (a bionic man...enough said)

Jan Michael Vincent crashed his motorcycle without a helmet suffered brain damage and tops off his decreased brain function by becoming a drug addict. I believe he's past the drug thing now but the damage is waaaaaaay done at this point.

Oh and on topic:

I used to love Ultraman and Johnny Soko and his flying robot. The banana splits show, and Dr. shocks horror theater.

Ultraman was my very first show that I was completely involved watching. At the same time I loved Speed Racer also. And then The Monkeys. But my all time favorite show of them all was Batman. You see, Batman was everything I wanted to be. He drove a bitching car, kicked bad people's asses to rock and roll music, and lived in a secret hideout.....but most of all....chased that piece of ass cat woman around. And if I would have caught her, she'd a been one sore pussy...cat. And that's what it's all about.

For a few months..I actually was caught up in Ninja Warrior which is on G4. I started to watch it for the laugh factor..but once they started making it harder..I was amazed by the strength of some of those people.

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was well written and beautifully genunine unlike the trash that's on today.

Funny thing is that a lot of these shows mentioned..that was what you watched then. Thgat was all there was before cable and when there was basically only three networks. Damn..the days before numerous channels to choose from and no remotes..how in the hell did we ever do it.. :shock:
