Mitt Romney - Extremely wealthy son of a politician

versus

Hillary Clinton.

This is not a fucking choice! It better not be this match-up.

I have to tell you that I don't love either one of them, but the pool of candidates beyond them isn't great either! A couple of other points here...First and foremost, this thing is FAR from over! Mitt Romney will have a VERY hard time winning any southern states, because guys from my home state of Massachusetts simply don't win in the south. Our ideals and values couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the southern way of living. There is a reason that John F. Kennedy was our last president from the northeast! Also, there is NO way that the Evangelical Christian Bible thumpers of the south will EVER elect a Mormon as president of this country! I saw one of these dopes on the news tonight say "I voted for Mike Huckabee because he's Christian like I am". He didn't say agreed with any of the guy's policies or had any confidence that he was competent to do the job! What a fucking jackass! People like this should be thrown out of the country or at least have their voting privileges revoked!

As for Hillary...don't hand it to her just yet either. Romney crushed McCain and Paul in Nevada (last I looked it was 53% to 13%), but Obama didn't exactly get crushed, so we'll see what happens. It's definitely going to come down to those two candidates, and if they join together on the same ticket, look out! I'll tell you this...There is ZERO chance that ANYONE from the Republican party will get elected, during this upcoming election. When our country is facing the harsh economic times like what we're presently experiencing, on the heels of the Iraq debacle, the present party in power is GUARANTEED to take the hit (and rightfully so, in my opinion)! There will be ZERO mystery and drama to this upcoming election. If the nominee is Obama, he'll win in a landslide. If the nominee is Hillary, it will be a lot closer, just because she has always been such a polarizing figure. That said, she'll still get elected, if she wins the nomination!

Well, I purchased an Electrolux in 1991 when I got my first place. I still have that sucker, and it still works flawlessly, so I think you know where my vote is going

He's a Congressman from California and one of the few that I actually think says what he really believes. He's a good guy but had no shot at being elected.

Hunter dropped out after receiving no votes in Nevada, thus making him realize his Nevadan brother had lied about voting for him.

Our Country will suck if Hilary wins. My god, I don't see how anyone could ever vote for her. She's such a fake, I was ready for her to kick Bill's ass all over the tube when all that bs came out, but she never did. She took his ass back because she has a master plan and needed his pr help. When she was practically in tears a while back because she was losing, that scared the hell out of me! How the hell would she handle a wartime situation? You can't go crying to terrorists, you can't show weakness, etc. I have no problem with a woman running our ship, but if and when a woman runs our Country it better be someone with a little more honesty and backbone. If she would have kicked Bill's ass and left his sorry cheatin ass back at the WhiteHouse, perhaps I would have a different opinion of her, but all of her actions seem very fake. She scares me more than any other candidate, because you just know she has an ulterior motive, and it's very hard to tell what it is.

I'm guessing old Bill screwed her over so bad the only thing she could do to get back at him was to make a vow to herself to make ol Bill the first Mr.First Lady! And I don't mean that as a joke, I'm concerned that's her primary motivation!

The USA is ready for a woman president, but God help us if it's Hilary.

Pray hard then.

Our country sucks now. We are a joke, an embarrassment.

Gee, the country has been run so fine these last 7 years. That W has a backbone. He doesn't tear up. He was a great choice.

She is by far the smartest candidate of all of them. Like I said, pray hard, even though there is no need to. Get her in office and watch how the country changes, for the better.

I've seen footage of Romney and Edwards tearing up to exactly the same extent that Clinton did. Why no mention of those episodes? Because they were men, they were considered "compassionate" or "passionate"...but because Clinton is a woman, that very same reaction makes her "weak" and "unreliable"? Every guy who has an issue with Hillary tearing up last week is a hypocrite. It's a very strange double-standard, but it's not acceptable. Romney and Edwards were portrayed as patriotic for exactly the same thing for which Clinton has been castigated.

It's all they have to fight her with Daniel. They have no credibility regarding any of the real issues that are breaking the backbone of this country, so they have to make gender the issue. As long as they keep her having to answer for being female she doesn't have as many opportunities to speak about the issues that they're incapable of addressing.

The saddest part of that, and the proof of it is right here within the microcosm of this forum, is there are so many people who don't care what's really happening in the country as a whole as long as they get a few hundred dollar tax cut to buy some new electronics or new designer bag or shoes.

It should be noted that while Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in Nevada she only won 12 delegates for the National Convention while Barak Obama won 13 delegates.

A) That will probably change.

B) Hillary is way ahead in delegates as well as super delegates.

C) One district was won via a playing card game. Yep. One district had the same exact people for Obama and Hillary. The delegates for this district were 5, so they couldn't be evenly distributed so a playing card deck was brought in. Obama's representative drew a 10 of Spades and Hillary's rep drew the Queen of hearts. Hillary got 3 delegates, Obama got 2.

Just to clarify my personal feelings, I don't like those 2 fakes either. This IS going to be a very tough election. No one at this point is cleary the one to vote for.

Folks....

Postby 4ever4Steve » Mon Jan 21, 2008 6:38 am

..just answer yourselves on honest question:
Are you better off NOW or were you better off financially 8 yrs ago, at the end of Cinton's administration?
Hillary is one smart cookie ( even if she doesn't BAKE them  )
She is up to the job...100% :!:
God HELP us if another Republican gets in there and mucks it up even worse then now.
w is a joke, and usually jokes are funny, but there is nothing funny about what he has done to this country!

Hillary is the one!
And for those chauvinists who growl..no way can a mere "woman" be president..last time I looked...no bills were ever signed or vetoed using a dick.

Your post shows why Hillary and her supporters are Sith Lords. If you don't vote for Hillaru then you are a chauvinist. I would love to have a woman as president, I would just prefer is not be someone as corrupt as George W. Bush.

BTW - why the huge discrepancy in exit polling again - is Hillary up to W's tricks?
