It's not Andrew's responsibility to follow up with artists on OTHER people's interviews, especially not just because YOU don't like the way the 3rd party interview portrays Frankie Sullivan.

I think Andrew might even agree with me on this. I believe it is a journalist responsiblity to do follow up if you run a piece that accuses someone else of being a criminal. JJ flat out did that. It's one thing to say you don't like somebody..yadda..yadda..yadda...it's another to accuse someone of illegalities as JJ did. Andrew did the right thing and tried to get the other side. Frankie Sullivan declined to dignify the garbabe coming out of JJ's mouth. What is so insane about trying to get both sides of a story RED? RED what newspapers do you read? THE CUBAN TIMES!

It's not Andrew's responsibility to solicit Frankie's feedback, certainly not on someone else's piece.
In fact, I believe what Andrew said in the thread was "Frankie did not respond to my last 2 emails" it never said that he emailed Frankie AFTER the interview. That very well could have meant that since frankie wasn't responding to emails Andrew didn't even bother emailing him about the JJ interview. All it said was "frankie knows where to reach me if he wants to comment."

NO that was the circut court judge who threw out the lawsuit and awarded JJ the right to call himself Survivor "featuring Jimi Jamison" since Survivor released compilation albums by that name. And speaking of those albums...why did Survivor put out those albums with JJ solo songs on there? After all it was a SURVIVOR album right? Not a Jimi Jamison album.

Why is Paul Stanley billed as Paul Stanley of Kiss? Because that is what he's mostly known for. So why shouldn't JJ use all of his hard work and noteriety in Survivor when billing himself? I don't call it riding Survivor's coattails,I call it reminding people of what he has done.
When the Saint goes and works on other projects...is he Frankie Sullivan of Survivor or is he just Frankie Sullivan?

Face it Survivor isn't nor was it ever big enough that the members were known outside of the band like say KISS, The Beatles etc.....so each and EVERY memeber has used that connection to let people know of their work in that band,including the saint. So you can lose that complaint also he's not "riding the coattails" anymore the the Saint is or does.

Bottomline is outside of Survivor...Saint and JJ aren't known by name,just like most people couldn't tell you what individuals recorded the song "High on You",some might not even know it was Survivor. They only know the song.

The order I have is VERY clear...and is recent...I don't want to get to far into this stuff....Plus, Frankie owns the name WORLDWIDE...not just in the US.....in reality Survivor when the play command a lot of $$$ and do quite well, I don't think they are worried about what JJ is doing....they are known worldwide, and if JJ goes up there as Survivor and people come for that, they will freak when they go on....When a certain friend of mine went on as his former band and it was billed as his former band over 60% of the audience left when he went on....60%!!!!!!!!!!!! It was almost a riot....I hope JJ knows what he is in for with the audience if he is billed as Survivor....

And Euro's are way harder to fool than us old Yanks!!!

Sorry Frank has had the band now for 30 years and Marc has been it in for about as long. Those two are very responsible for the signature sound. Hell Billy O has been doing the songs for quite sometime. I think the fact that promoters are having to use the ROCKY III poster says a lot.

I am not fretting about this being Survivor or not,I am pleased that a memeber past or present is coming to our shores,sure its not Survivor but it is the closest we have ever come to seeing them in the UK.It is great news for Dante Fox too,being the backing band.

My point, whether I made it correctly or not is that I feel there is one Survivor, one Styx, one Foreiner, one Journey....I completely respect your view....believe me I do....

But....

If Perry went out as Journey I would not be supportive of that....Go out as Perry....

A band is a very fragile environment....ego's, money, artistic freedom, wives, money again....oh yea, and music too....but if they can perservere and stick it out they deserve the torch....if a singer leaves he leaves the bat and ball....but he can keep the mitt.

#1, he IS touring as former Survivor vocalist. It says "Survivor's Jimi Jamison" not "Survivor."

You do also realize that it was confirmed that that show you went to expecting to see Survivor and got Jimi was because Survivor pulled OUT of the gig and they got Jimi to replace them, right?

Had it not been for Jamison, there would've BEEN no show, yet "Survivor" gets the pass and you mock Jamison for covering their slithery asses on the spur of the moment.
