Perry Interviewed on 94.7 The Wave

Postby chad » Tue Jan 22, 2008 7:31 am

Does anyone know if Perry was interviewed on The Wave (9.47 FM) today?

I heard he was on this morning, but wanted to confirm. I find it kind a strange since the Wave is a smooth jazz station based in Los Angeles.

Well,I could see SP being interviewed on a smooth jazz station, why not? (btw,I would LUV to hear a smooth jazz album with his voice on it,something like that one with Jeff Golub...)

Anyway, the morning show host on 94.7 is Brian McKnight....he loves Perry. He said (referring to SP):

"There are certain white singers who just translate well to blacks"

I'm curious if it was the white SP on air.

I'm listening to The Wave online as I type and I just heard the host saying that tomorrow morning,Brian McKnight will play Journey songs all morning in honor of "Journey's lead singer ( :P ) Steve Perry. It's his Birthday tomorrow."

Nice.

So maybe it was really Steve Perry on air this morning. It would make sense.

The only way I'll believe that Steve Perry is putting out anything is when FA post something that Steve has them post and not before. We've been through this all before and nothing has happened. I, for one, will not get my hopes up until there is a reason to get my hopes up.

I really don't understand where this friggin' thread's going with this talk about "what this means"! This is not about Steve Perry working/recording/releasing anything, wth??
It's the man's B-Day,that's all.He might've been invited on air to say a few words, what's the big deal?

No wonder he stays under the radar.

yes there is - also a Steve Perry in Cherry Poppin Daddies

And yet another Steve Perry - well-known sci-fi writter (Aliens and MIB - i think) and spy novelist.

Hell maybe there really is only one Steve Perry - all of the above would explain why he never called Neal and asked for his job back

Hey, I think that real nice that this radio station is going to be playing Journey's music in honor of Perry's Birthday tomorrow, that is great!! And IF Perry was really there at the radio station, then that would just be extra icing on the cake for all us fans that love him!! :D

They requested an interview,
He accepted.
They did it.
He is fine.
Enjoying life.
Kissing is something he is very passionate about.
It's done.
There isn't anything more to come of it.
When in doubt, DUCK!

Damn, does your font use make it hard quothe thee.

JMJ is Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

I abbreviate it in deference to my man DaveCT.
