I never understood that, either.
But you're right in '93-'94 did that leage and John Madden in particular ever write that guy's legend.

Never seen a more hyped qb than him at that time.

And he WAS great when he had the superhuman arm strength to close his eyes and just GUN the ball through walls of coverage.

But as he's lost that velocity but not his tendency to just put it up for grabs he's been a horrific QB.

In the years leading up to when he bacame a caretaker who mostly handed off to Davis in '97-'98 Elway played nowhere NEAR as poorly as Favre did most of this decade.

I say that feeling full well that from '92- at least '99 Favre was as good as they ever came.
