OT: DeMotivational Calanders

Postby T-Bone » Wed Jan 23, 2008 10:23 pm

A coworker brought in a calander from this website last year and it had to be one of the funniest ones I've ever seen. The pictures were good, but the funniest part were all the "useless knowledge" quips on certain dates of the year as far as "Playdough Invented" followed by a thought about it. It's bacially DE-Motivational stuff. Work has all those motivational posters all over the offices, so this stuff was a welcomed treat. Just reading through all the dates on the calander was hilarious! People at worked LOVED it, but management had the calander taken down within 4-5 days.... Pricks

Their website needs a little work, but you should be able to navigate around it. I ordered the 2008 calander with my own choices for pictures.

These are some of my favorites:

Like I said, the pics like that are good, but the funniest part is the calander dates themselves. Not every day has a quip, but most do, and they're filled with useless knowledge followed by a WTF type thought.

There's more DeMotivators here:

Those were good, thanks T-Bone!

This one made me think of MR's very own Nurse Natalie.
(I can't grab the pic, sorry)

I got a t-shirt with the "Wishes" slogan on it for Christmas...

"When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true.
Unless the falling star is really a meteor hurtling towards earth to destroy all life -
Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for.
Unless it's death by meteor."

I used to buy one of those for my boss every year for Christmas until they ran out of ideas, but they are hilarious.

These were hilarious. I should order a 16-month 2009 later this year, if I remember.

Did anyone else think of government when reading this?
