Ditto. It's about as irrelevant to me as which cover band is playing at the corner bar this weekend. Who cares?

Not exactly a classic hookah but hey, a Nun in Egypt has a gotta be a rare thing.

I wonder when Journey will finally update their site.

Oh please, you actually think other bands "care" about their fans in a true sense of the word? No, they only do better p&r/marketing. If the music is good to your ears you want to see it performed live, not because "wow.. look at em up there, caring so much about us, we only had to pay $80.00 to see them. ahh... they truley care." ppfffftttt....

Whatever dude. Have to say I enjoyed the JSSB shows I saw in clubs last year more than the Bon Jovi show in arena (20,000). And that's coming from a major Bon Jovi fan. JSS puts on the same kick ass show whether he's in front of 20 people or 20,000. He just hasn't gotten the exposure he deserves, yet.

But to each his own, you go on and enjoy the Journey shows watching Arnel trying to replicate Perry's vocals (can't argue that, you know Schon/Cain want somebody up there that sounds just like Perry). Sorry that just doesn't do it for this fan. And I'll go to JSS shows where I know I'll hear/see some creativity and something more unique. :D

I am going to give Arnel/Journey a fair listen. He's a great singer. But unless he can bring something more vocally unique to the table like JSS did, I'm probably not going to be interested.

I don't care if he's playing on my back doorstep, a local club or a stadium. I'm there. And I'll have my ticket in hand and my butt at the door of the venue the morning of the concert. This is one artist worth making a "road trip" for and I intend to do just that on the next tour!

Jeff's shows are amazing. Just.....amazing!

If the name above was Jeremey, would you feel the same way? I'm just curious. I want to see a JSS show though. I'm willing to give that a chance.

Yes. I think Jeremey is a great singer too, and nothing against Jeremey, but I personally don't want to hear somebody "that sounds just like" Perry fronting Journey. If you aren't actually Perry himself, it just becomes karoake to me. I want somebody with Perry's passion for the music, but a uniqueness of their own. That's probably why I liked JSS fronting Journey right from the beginning. He's got a great voice and it didn't "sound just like" Perry's.

Thanks for the honest answer. Again, I will have to watch JSS if he makes his way to San Diego. Gotta keep a watchful eye on my girl though, the way you chicas swoon over JSS makes me feel ""protective."

Btw, do we really think Arnel sounds like SP? I don't think he comes that close. JH sounds MUCH more like SP. I think Arbel brings a similar vocal range, but he sounds like Arnel singing not SP.

Re: JSS. I've seen his club tour. I was totally floored, amazed, etc, by some of his original material. And then the covers started and I realized local bands here perform those songs as good or better and it only cost $5.00 to see a good cover of "Crazy", "Long Train Running", etc, when I want to see that.
