How many have heard this!?!?!

I just tonight had the chance to actually sit down and listen to it beginning to end. VERY COOL! Truth be told, I actually picked it up a while back and never listened to it fully....this site makes you really appreciate this type of music.

I've got my doubts that the very first intro of "eye of the tiger" is played live....but the song is very much PERFORMED live....but other than that...VERY cool! Ten great tracks live.,..and five studio tracks with some great guests and some cool musicianship.

Any thoughts from those who have heard it?

Well - I can't really discount what "YOU" say....especially on such a topic....but just to clarify...the copy I have...track 6 IS a live track....and at the 4:24 mark, someone says "Buddy Guy...Yeah!" - Maybe they're just acknowledging his contribution.

Okay - let me clarify - before this goes further...I'm not out for an argument.. As I said, conversation in the upmost regard of respect...

I'm just out for someone who is in the "know" (namely YOU) to identify what I'm hearing on that track.

I've ripped both tracks to lossless on my computer - and lined them both up in Adobe Audition...and what I'm HEARING...Is INDEED appearing to be VERY VERY close to the studio version..if not dead on....but I am STILL hearing crowd noise. But the vocals...are very full...and very rich...and that guitar is very crisp...so I....I'm wondering, and this is not meant to be insulting or degrading in any way, if this isn't just a "clever forgery" of a live track....meaning, the live crowd...and the "Buddy Guy..Yeah" were added to the studio track.

Clarify? What exactly AM I hearing?

A different mix of the original studio track, remixed for the benefit of inclusion on this otherwise terrific LIVE record.

On my copy track six is "Vehicle" and it's performed by Jim Peterik and Buddy Guy. It is either live or they added crowd noise to the track in the studio. There is absolutely crowd noise in the song though. And yes, at the 4:24 mark someone (it sounds like Peterik to me) says "Buddy Guy, yeah." But no question about it, it's either live or they added crowd noise to it in the studio. It was probably taken from another show, then?

THAT...I can understand....I just knew it wasn't "THE" Studio track...as it was on the WS album.

The crowd noise was added in....Andrew made reference to the added crowd noise in his review of this CD a few years back....this is a studio track with stuff added to seem live....it's been done many many times before so don't come down on JP, there is ALOT of great live music on that CD....I think JP wanted this on the CD, so he slipped it in....alot of people dug it, so no harm no foul if you ask me....

No..definitely no harm no foul...

In fact...one of the greatest artists of all time did that on with one of his remixes. There's a "Live Mix" Of Freddie Mercury's "Love Kills" ( I believe it's called the "Rock Mix") in which a session guitarist(Not Brian May) added a live guitar to it and they piped in crowd noise and made it sound live, when in fact, no Freddie Mercury solo songs were ever performed live (save for one or two in his last performance ever, and there's no decent recording of that)

I have had the cd for about 6 months now. Love it. Not a bad song on the disk. Shows what a writer Jim is. Never knew he was a good Singer until I heard Pride of Lions cd and his solo. It also shows what a singer Kevin is. This man needs to release a live cd.
Andrew whatever happened to that live dvd he was working on? and interview?-ERIC
