This is my best photo of Neal grinning before me at the WOF

I'm still amazed that he dressed like the fucking construction worker from The Village People. He didn't know better than to wear a shirt/suit and tie? :?

Western shirt with pearlized snaps
Actually it was a nice shirt
but out of place for the honor of the occasion

It's a stock photo that Ticketmaster posted. It's of Steve A., not Steve P. Journey is lax in giving them the new shots but Ticketmaster posted a stock photo to go along with the ticket release. It's not deception unless it's intentional and no one has proven otherwise.

This is a decent article.
http://www.innovateforum.com/innovate/a ... ?id=374640

SL is proving to be very lucrative for some people. I guess Journey is looking for a new business venture. And I don't blame them. I'm actually kinda surprised that more bands haven't done this yet. (Gene Simmons, you listenin'?) There are online businesses that use real money. (Well, you buy Linden bucks and use those.) Recently read though, that online banking & casinos in SL are being banned because of some type of scamming. I think they might have done away with the sex & porno shops too. There was concern that kids were frequenting those. There was also investigated, an allegation of online sex getting out of hand...even though it's virtual, still there was sense of lawlessness...which is why the policing of SL is growing.

Do some searches. Read for yourself. There are hundreds of articles on Second Life. It's all very interesting.

I'd almost think that a lot of people right here on this forum would love SL because you can create your own world, including forums & chat rooms were anything goes. And in a sense, you're posting face to face by proxy...sort of. Picture it this way - just like posting where you have an avatar and make statements, this is 3D where you have characters on screen talking to each other. (I guarantee it will cut down on some of the cowardness.)

As for me, SL is more too 'cutesy' than just geeky. It seems a little clunky at first, but like posting, once you get a little used to it, it's nothing. I haven't spent much time out there because I'm a little old school and can't really buy in to the whole spend-all-your-waking-moments-outside-my-real-world thing. (I still have a stand up Galaga.) But I can easily understand the millions that are already doing it in various ways.

Btw, all the talk about virtual lawyers and detectives is closer than you think. It seems to be growing in SL because some real world marriages are on the rocks because of spouses having sexual partners in SL. Do some searches about cyber-cheating in SL. It's becoming a real issue.

Going to have to concur with the wombat on this one. They've had a hard on for second life for a while...I don't get the fascination with LindenWorld. It's taking the online thing to a whole new level of obsession. Well, who knows...maybe for Journey fans, obsession is a good thing!

And I think that is a good thing.
Journey has always fallen short on the internet. If this world is as extensive as described it could be a great thing. IF they use it to the potential along with other avenues then I am supportive of the idea.
Will I join 2nd Life? No. So I hope they equal some of the attention on their website as well.

I'm pretty sure the Journey MySpace site is getting a lot of traffic... I wonder how it compares to MR and other sites..

Well today's the day we find out what the new website looks like. I'm optimistic that it will be better than the last one....which won't be difficult. That thing was archaic, uninformative, and generally boring. Sadly, that was the nicest way to describe it. Regardless, my home will remain here with the Wombat. He's a cool mofo. 8)
