OT-New Kids On The Block...Reunion

Postby mikemarrs » Sun Jan 27, 2008 1:11 pm

After months of speculation and rumor, the Kids are coming back. A well-placed source tells PEOPLE exclusively that New Kids On The Block are indeed getting back together.

The band's Web site, www.nkotb.com, which had been dormant, is now back up and running in anticipation of the official announcement, which the source says will be made in the next few weeks.

The site currently features a television graphic with a fuzzy, flickering photos of NKOTB in their heyday, and a link inviting fans to sign up for info.

The boy band, which made legions of tweens swoon in the early '90s, selling more than 50 million albums, became a worldwide phenomenon before calling it quits in 1994.

Eighteen years later, they're still "Hangin' Tough." The oldest "Kid," Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band's demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight's brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.

:x ,Me and my sister used to argue over who was better New Kids On The Block or Kiss.well Kiss has stood the test of time and have more gold albums than any american group in the history of rock music.we had this discussion in '89 and a little over a year or so later the New Kids faded into the mist.next is was Vanilla Ice and how he was better than Guns N Roses, lol.I knew back then both these teen sensations were fads and a flash in the pan.

I might be able to stomach a Poison concert for that reason but I just couldn't pull it off for NKOTB.

I had the huge door poster. And, while I'm revealing skeletons, right next to it was my Rick Astley poster.

Well, aside from the fact that those guys are from the best city in America, I have to agree with Dave on that point! What's more disturbing to me is that you were only in elementary school by the time most of us were already out of high school

That Milli Vanilli album was pretty good. I'm just not sure why they didn't parade the ugly white guys out there to sing the songs in the first place. You don't have to be good looking to be famous. Shit, look at Dio, and Dokken (had to get ya, Rip  :P ).

Rick Astley? How Ghastly! :P You know, I remember hearing something about how he got started... about him receiving a small business loan or something, and he listed that he wanted to be a rock star... If you know the story, it would be funny to hear it.

1.) Rip, you are asking me if I know the story? Um, pretty sure I was still developing cognitive skills at that point. I just liked his song(s).

2.) John, hehehe I knew I could get you to like at least one hick! See, we're not all bad. Come to Vegas.

I actually saw that act when I was 15.

Is this nkotb thing real? I can't get that website to open.
It keeps telling me to update flash, which I did and it won't run.
