No desire to see that crap. I'm going to see a real group on March 9th - Van Halen.

Great tips, guys... I really appreciate it. I'm leaning strongly toward staying at P.H. without a car.

if you do these things right....these road trips end up being about people old and new that get together....and the show is a nice sidebar....this is shaping up to be the case.

No, not this time. I believe Coke and Crystal Light will be the headline beverage.

Exactly. Journey is but 2 hours of 3 days. And hey, I'll admit, I'm gambling that the show is going to be good. It may be or it may not be. But isn't that what you go to Vegas for anyway...to gamble? And I'm hardly going there to see Journey. That specific date was an excuse for me to quit procrastinating and set a date for my pre-summer warm weather getaway. I'm just wondering why Tom would ever want to leave Maui? :P

Saw them last night. Good show. Roth's vocals aren't what they used to be, but then again, whose are??? Eddie was amazing.

I just got my travel arrangements purchased, and boy was it a pill! My first several Priceline requests, made online and over the phone with their staff, were getting rejected (not the "name your own price crap" -- used to do that, but I prefer making exact choices these days). I was trying to be very specific with flight times to make the most out of the trip, and Priceline locks out your credit card after a few rejected attempts. So I tried again online with my backup card and finally got great flights and a decent hotel. As it turns out, the Planet Hollywood must have been the catalyst in my rejections, so we'll be staying at the Imperial across from Caesar's and The Mirage instead... and I was pleased that making that change saved another $140.00! :P

We should be in our hotel around 1pm on the 6th, with a flight out 9:40am on the 9th. Gives me time to party without losing way too much sleep... :P

Speaking of Van Halen, looks like I will be going in 3 days... a friend talked me into it, and apparently it's not as expensive as I thought. I'm sure I'll thank him later for bugging me about it...

Not on the bandwagon, but how long can you hate on someone or something? At least I can see them for who they are, and not call a tribute band the Real Journey. Now who is the one smoking crack?

I don't hate them. Just not interested anymore. They blew it when the fired your friend. Frontiers shows are a blast. Journey music without the BS.

You, however, have a million reasons to hate them.

FYI, Priceline, Wxpedia, etc, all the same. One of those includes taxes the other doesn't, but it's the same bycket fares. Try to get to Chicago and go from there. Hell, rail or bus to CHI and go from there. This will be epic. I will share with room with you and Pam and some other peeps. Fuck it, Pam will pay, she is rich:)

Not cracking on Frontiers so son't try to play it as such, but you have got to be deaf dumb or high to see any kind of comparison and to call them the Real Journey is just stupid.

All the BS? Yeah I agree, but I am mostly going to hang out with friends and meet people.

Yeah they fired my friend, and that sucks, but he is man enough not to look down at me if go to Vegas and see Journey.

That's cool, I hope you have a great time. I just can't believe you want to see Journey after all that you have said and done.

I never said Frontiers was the real Journey. But they sound more like the Journey I know and love than Exotic Journey will with their new singer. Frontiers had jaws dropping all over the floor at Ram's Head a few weeks ago.

Dean never really totally got off the Journey bandwagon--how can I see that and you don't? He's always been the world's most passionate Journey fan and what he said and did were kind of to be expected. Plus, I remember he never said he hated Arnel--he always said that he thought Arnel was an excellent choice.

This group of people going to see Journey in Vegas look like tons of fun--I hope Journey puts on an awesome show with some new and old tunes... I wonder if they're kind of nervous with you all attending? Anyway, I'm hoping like hell they don't disappoint anybody!!

Um, no. Frontiers is a nice little band, but they don't sound better than Journey. If they did, they themselves would be playing arenas, not clubs. I know this kills you NIG, but your disdain for Arnel is ridiculous. He is the best choice for Journey, period.

What, you think Neal is worried we are going to rush the stage and inflict bodily harm? Fuck, I ought to hit that bastard up for some freebies. As of now, I am not even going to the show. I am going to meet people.

It took me a good while to come to that realization, but I agree.

I know a lot of people are still pissed at Journey, but for how long are they going to hold this grudge? Shit, my wife doesn't hold grudges that long.

Well, in spite of everything, I think he cares what his fans think about the music. Why else would they perform? And before you say $$, I would imagine they are each wealthy enough to stop. It appears to me that Neal has always been about music--his dad was a musician. He has devoted his life to music and shared it with the public. If it were me, after the beating he has taken on these boards I would be nervous performing in front of some of you.

If they ever looked down and saw WIX when his eyes roll up into his head and he starts gasping for air and making that weird chirping noise...well...they woulda stopped touring many moons ago.

There is danger lurking in every section... :)
