Obama can't possibly like Ted kennedy endorsing him. Kiss of death. If Obama or kennedy for that matter, thinks they got more political juice than Bill fucking Clinton, they are sadly mistaken. No ONE person in politics, has more juice than Bill Clinton. No one is close. I can't wait til she is in Office and she shuns all these assholes who might want cabinet jobs. Kerry= gone. Kennedy= get the fuck outta here. Lieberman= go to Hell.

Richardson, Biden and Dodd are all smart. They keep their holes zipped and know they will have Cab level positions in January.

The Clintons are coming off as old and bitter, IMO. I think their massive star power has dimmed. Don't underestimate Obama and the people's excitement over "change". 8)

In 5 days, she will nearly have it.

Big leads in big states.

CA +11
AZ +10
AR +30
OK +25
TN +14
NY +25
NJ +17
MA +37

Now the Dems have a proportionate rep count, meaning it's not winner take all..bt a proportionate % wins proportionate difference.

These are HUGE leads.

It will be interesting to see who picks up the Edwards supporters now that he's out.
They are both already kissing major ass in that department to nab those votes.

I'm talking from his perspective and how they have treated him. If I were in his shoes, that is exactly what I'd tell her. If McCain is the R nominee, I am rooting for Hillary, trust me.

I DO agree that the Clinton camp is definitely taking it to them and it isn't pretty, BUT, that's how elections are won. Hell, Obama won't fight back against Hillary, wtf you think he'll do when the GOP really starts their smear campaign?

Oh damn, do you really not see the difference between one person losing a job for whatever reason, as bad as I know that can be, and thousands of people at a time losing theirs due to manufacturing plant closings in towns and small cities for which those industries are the primary economic base?

thats because those are the shit ass jobs that nobody wants in the first place

I prefer Romney be the nominee, because he is a sure defeat, but McCain has a shot, albeit a long one.

This was forwarded to me

Postby 7 Wishes » Thu Jan 31, 2008 12:44 pm

I really am done with political threads, but a friend sent me this...thought it was kind of funny.

This in NO WAY reflects my actual beliefs. Although there are a few valid points...what I am laughing at here is the STEREOTYPE ITSELF. Please no more hate PM's. THIS IS FOR SATIRICAL PURPOSES ONLY.

To be a Republican you need to believe:

1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton

2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him , a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a 'we can't find Bin Laden' diversion.

3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Viet Nam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

4. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq .

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

12. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet .

13. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

14. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

15. Supporting 'Executive Privilege' for every Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be born (in perpetuity.)

16. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960's is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80's is irrelevant.

17. Support for hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

If you don't send this to at least 10 other people, we're likely to be stuck with more Republicans in '08.

Did you watch the debate? McCain came off a little crazy when him and Romney were going at it. Mitt smacked him down pretty hard though.

Got this email, thought I would share it with you.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of "the redistribution of wealth."

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican party."
