Yeah, I can stomach the MLB all-star game. I don't like the idea of basing home field advantage in the World Series, though, on an all-star game but at least it makes it semi-interesting.
That's the whole point of why it's even a remotely relevant game...because something important is determined by it! The reality is that in most other sports (especially the NFL), most guys simply aren't interested in participating in the Pro Bowl, unless it's their first time! When you have a bunch of guys who have no desire to spend a week in Hawaii, something is very wrong! Because of the nature of football, they could never and would never hold the "all star" game, at any point, during the season! We're stuck with irrelvant, boring games, that nobody give's a rat's ass about! Unfortunately, for we football fans, it all comes to an end, about 10pm on Sunday night!
I think we're all in for a great game. I really respect the Giants and their players. They carry themselves well, and never get caught saying idiotic things (with the exception of Osi). I've also always had a ton of respect for Tom Coughlin. The guy has always been a no-nonsense, solid x and o's football coach! The nutbags who always whine about how tough of a coach he is are the same idiots who cry about how unfriendly Bellichick is! Who gives a shit how nice and cordial your coach is! It's about winning games...not appeasing the media yahoos and fans! The NFL is full of coaches who are friendly and smile a lot. They also lose a lot! I'll take the monotone, boring Bellichick all day long over a guy who thinks he's performing at the local comedy club!
