Great choices for the tour. 8)

Horrible combination.
While I love both bands, putting all three together just means shorter sets
and guarantees nothing but a DD/GH bore-fest.

Hahaha, I called this 3 months ago.

Pay up fuckers!

Carlitto, you didn't expect anything GH did you? Only Bruce and U2 play new stuff anymore.

Where did you predict this? I went back through your posts looking and couldn't find it...

Damn! About two weeks ago Cheap Trick came to mind, but only because I was thinking that Journey wouldn't do it with Cheap Trick only because of some jokes that may come out. The "Cheap Trick" would be the SP sound coming from AP. Also taking into consideration that most serious Journey fans think it was cheap how Journey actually found AP, and that Journey "tricked" JSS in some fashion. I do like Heart. I saw them in Tokyo back during the Brigade world tour of 90' with my Japanese girlfriend. Arnel's going to have a blast meeting these two bands in person because he's been singing there songs for so many years.

I just want to add a few more classic rock artists to the list of bands that play new music:

1. Rush
2. Paul McCartney
3. Deep Purple
4. Eddie Money
5. Peter Frampton
6. REO Speedwagon
7. Scorpions
8. Tom Petty
9. The Who

And probably The Eagles and those are just from the bands I’ve seen there're probably others out there. I really do wish I could add Journey to that list, time will tell.

The sooner McCartney stops playing that craptacular new stuff, and the older (even more craptacular) Wings shit, and just sticks to playing Beatles stuff, the sooner I'll buy a ticket to his show.

Oh great, now anyone with cheap seats will need to invest in binoculars to determine if Heart is on stage or Journey's being rushed by it's 'biggest fan'

All kidding aside, Heart sucks....never liked em.....and Cheap Trick's too good (and functional) to be allowed on stage with jrny.

Heart's not one of my favorites but both of those chicks are pretty good singers, especially Nancy.

I can get behind this tour regardless of wanting to take a wait and see approach to Arnel prior to spending money for a ticket. But again, price better not be too high.

Even still, one of you guys better get some cell phone recordings of Journey in Vegas up on youtube first!

Definitely would like to see Heart and CT. CT's a longtime fav and Heart are from here, so it's a must. Plus NO CHICK can sing as good as Ann Wilson. NONE.
Journey should open for both of these bands.

I called Journey and Cheap Trick before anyone. Search the forums peeps. :) :) :) I also thought they would tour with Loverboy, oh well. Heart is still a good choice. No WAY would Heart headline. The dynamic is too low. I bet Heart opens, followed by Cheap Trick and Journey. Cheap Trick puts on a hell of a nice energetic show.

Journey recorded 25 new songs in Sausalito, half of them will end up on the album and probably none on tour...But we can't be sure, maybe they'll throw one or two in the setlist.Maybe in Vegas for the DVD? :)

Awesome tour! I'll definitely be there for that one. CT is one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

With Journey having a new singer, Heart should close.

The ony way I think Journey deserves to go last is with SP fronting them.

...or at least flip a coin each show like Chicago and Earth,Wind and Fire did to see who goes on first. I saw that show on DVD last night. EW&F opened the show, and when Chicage took the stage it was a bit of a letdown IMO (although both bands were spectacular, just "different").

My sentiments exactly. Heart is Ann and Nancy regardless of the instrumental players. They are the original band. There's a legitimacy there that merits closing the show, especially since this is Journey's first tour with their (3rd) new singer. If they manage to somehow carve out a new following for Arnel (with new music), then it would be a different story. But if they're just touring the GH's, Heart closes every time IMO.

Journey wouldn't do this unless they close.

I polled my parents, both of whom are in their mid-40s and lived the music back in the day.

My dad said Cheap Trick should headline, my mom said Heart.

I say they're both wrong this time. Maybe we should put some cashola on this....

I realize that. ;) Haha. I pointed that out just to illustrate that they were around back when these bands were big and seem (or try too hard to) know of what they speak. :D

I love Cheap Trick myself and missed seeing them last month. I think them being on the bill will do very well.

I am glad they are touring with Heart. I've been wanting to see them for the last several years and just......well honestly, I really would never admit to that!!! But now I have the excuse to say that I'm just going to see Journey. Actually I've lucked out the last several tours. I like Def Leppard and REO but not sure I would go see them on their own. But I've always considered Heart to be sort of a female Journey type band of the 80's. They can really sing with the best of them.
