For Rush, I'd say either that one or Limelight. Limelight gets me going every time from the very beginning.

Please post how it was. They were here over a year ago, my sister and bro-in-law saw them and said it was a great show. My sis was floored at how many of their hits she had forgot about. Have a great time! :)

Friggin A right! Except it's "O'Riley". :D But still... Friggin A right!

Off the top....

Stone In Love - Journey
Day Tripper - Beatles
Hello Goodbye - Beatles (vocal intros rock!)
Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
Welcome to the Jungle - GnR
Renegade - Styx
Baba O'Riley - The Who
A Legal Matter - The Who
Magic Bus - The Who (not a particulary spectacular intro, but man, it gets your attention)

("Lovin' You Is Easy" has that effect on me too - gotta turn that up... lol... )

A perfect original song. Every once in a while I'll hear a band kinda rip it off for one of their "originals", with the same popcorn drum intro, and it just shouldn't be attempted. Also heard a few people rip off "Girl Gone Bad", and the same... those songs were too distinctive to be copping from.

DSB is my favourit intro -

Being almost as big of an Alice Cooper fan as a Journey fan, I cant fail to mention Hello Hooray , No More Mr Nice Guy and Poison by Alice as having openings that get me going.
