There was a clip of Arnel with a TV reporter where he sang a piece of Open Arms acapella, she sang along with him and then she put her hand over her heart--completely unrehearsed. That's pretty much the way I and probably a lot of others feel about his singing...

I didn't think that vocals was that amazing at all. I'll wait to hear him in concert properly (but not first hand sadly).

Dude, go back to the Main Event. Each band had 80 minutes. Remember that fucking NBA clock you stole from the Lakers Elson? Yeah the one that glared without blinking right at the lead singers. Thats 240 minutes of music.

Take REO, 80 mins. Replace with Cheap Trick. They only play the same 8 songs. That is say, 50 minutes. Saved time:30

Styx, 80 mins, replaced by Heart. Heart plays 60 mins. Saved time= 20

Total time saved= 50 mins.

Journey dirty dozen= 65 minutes. 8 more songs, =40 mins. 105 minutes, 20 tunes. Probably 18, but 20 is possible.

Naw...
Just watching from the peanut gallery it's easy to see
that B is getting at Jeremy alittle more than he needs to.
Hell, i love B to death, consider him a friend and hate to say it but
he needs to lay off Jeremy.

Jeremy only came in here to ask folks to leave him out of these debates/rages/wars/arguements.
I don't blame him for being a bit defensive...

I can listen to the cds from the SA and SP era and the dvds and go see Evolution if I want to hear the songs. I can not

I cannot in all honesty see some of the friends that I have met traveling far to see them and that is too bad.
Just my opinion and how I look at things.
BTw I saw michael Bolton on that tour and he did one headline show in ct, and he had Jon, Jon's brother on drums and Ross Valory with him. There was another guy on guitar I do not recall his name, however it was not Neal.

My mistake. It was so long ago and I knew it was 2 members of Jrny so I assumed it was Neal. I did catch Neal in his glam phase when he was in Hardline.

I just read Dean's raving review of the tour with JSS. I just started getting back into Journey recently so I'm sorry I missed that tour. I'm new to this board and just found out why SA left the band but what happened with JSS? Don't grill me too much for something that's probably been brought up long ago. I just wasn't really following the band until I saw on TV that they hired a new singer. What was wrong with JSS - after reading Dean's review it seems like he was incredible.

He was, still is. According to Journey, Jeff didn't have the Journey sound. They wanted someone that sounded closer to Perry.

Here's the part that PISSED everyone off so much. Jeff didn't find out he was let go until he was in Europe doing a short Talisman tour, and someone that's not even in the Journey camp came up and said "Sorry about the Journey gig." or something to that effect. Jeff was like . Nobody called him at all. I think Ross Valory called him after a week or so. It was ugly.

Wow. I have an Yngwie Malmsteen cd that JSS sings on but I just don't picture him in Journey. No knock at him though - he's got a great voice. I love that scream during I'll See the Light Tonight. I checked some torrent sites that I download dvd's from but I can't find any Journey shows with JSS.

Hey Andrew,
Please go back and see who started with the name calling 1st. If he is gonna call me an ass, I am not gonna just sit and take it. Also, how do you define it as bashing him, when he STARTS it,,,, and when I respond , he attacks me the same if not more? I knew he was holy in annex, but has he got that status here as well??

______________________________________

NIG,,,, WTF indeed,,,,, I havent posted anything to/about him in 2 months, go back and check,,,,, the ONLY thing I posted here was a funny picture , trying to tell him to leave the old stuff behind ( the picture was supposed to be 'beating on a dead horse' in case you didnt get it) and he turns around and calls me an ass. Just cause his your buddy, does it mean you have to be 100% biased and be totally blind as the rest of the people on that fucking sinking ship !???

______________________________________

Carl,
Youre my bro,,, :) I did give him a more than I need to , maybe,,, but as you can see he gives it right back,,, he is a big boy, no pun intended.
Jeremey didnt just come in to ask people to leave him be.... He came here pissed cause he can not stand it if someone says Arnell is better than him.
If I were him, I wouldnt care and move on,,,,, its all yesterdays news..... dont you agree!???? A bit defensive?????

Hey, J, before you sign off here forever (and I realize that trying for Journey has turned you from everyday poster to near-celebrity/constant defendant) remember that before anybody here knew you sang you were just a great poster.

Oh well I guess there's no going back to those days.

Beshad, you're laying it on overly thick, Colonel. You're on Jeremey like white on rice, every time he shows up.

With all due respect Ben
Go and check and see how many times I have responded to him the past 2 months, since Drew asked for us to stop. not ONE single time have I said anything negative to him or about him. And today, I added some humor with the pic that its time to go one.
