They obviously weren't! They finally get a frontman with Perry's passion in there giving Journey the kick in the ass it needed. Then.........HUH???? Never understand it........still pisses me off. :x

Thanks for posting those Dean. I really liked Faithfully. I heard he did them all, that night Deen was sick. I'm dying to know if he sang Still They Ride (that Deen normally did) at that show. Anybody know? Would love to have heard JSS covering those soaring vocals. My all-time fave Journey song!

It should be noted, that this was the 6th night out of seven straight shows. Jeff had NO notice. Before show, Deen says, "dude, I am a no go, you need to sing em all."

PS- Deb, he sang Still They Ride the previous night.

Does anybody have a recording of it? I'd love to hear that.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, and I'm probably not a good critic since I can't stand Opens Arms regardless of who is singing it.

Damn that brings back some fabulous memories!!

treetopovskaya wrote:what thread?

I'd have to go back and see if I could find it - but I think the "old-timers" or something? It was some chick (I believe) who said she had seen him in Tennessee (maybe that explains it..LOL)

The "too tall" comment just about put me over the edge too - one of THE most assanine things I might've ever read anywhere.

And Dean, as always your way with words is astounding. It is always amazing that you can make yourself so crystal clear without having to be so direct!

Wow, colour me surprised. Nice job. Cool.
If he can do these this well, why was Castronovo singing at all? Unnecessary and'd rather see the front guy do it.
Cool.
