Rip Rokken wrote:They still keep pushing back the release date... it was supposed to be last November, then earlier this year, then Feb. 6th (in Japan at least, and still no evidence it's available there), and now I'm reading late March here in the states. They also said it would be released on Rhino Records, so I e-mailed them last night and they replied to say they have no date set yet. Maybe a reunion is holding something up, but this is very unusual.

Wait, what? A re-recorded greatest hits as well as a new album? Have I been talking Dokken so much here that you've gotten them confused w/Journey?

Correct. The re-record hits CD has no release date as yet.

Rocker Chic wrote:Never saw 'Ryche before (always wanted to). Saw Dokken many times, met the original line up a few times, and met them when they were out with Reb once. He was the nicest and most down to earth (next to Jeff Pilson) out of all of them. Don and Mick are pretty cool, but more in the rockstar kind of mode. George, well, he's a bit out there. Hot as helland one of my favorite guitarists, but not really a personable kind of guy (at least the few times that I met him). Uh, I do recall him having the softest hands I'd ever felt on a guy
(we shook hands! get your minds out of the gutter, people!).
Will see about showing Don your, uh, message, but I'm wondering if that might get me escorted out by security... Oh, wait... That's right! I got a connection!![]()
:::gulp::: I might still get escorted out ...

There was a funny story a few years back about one of these tickets that included Warrant and Dokken (this was right before Jani split). Dokken insisted on headlining, and ran up onstage bitching at Jani to end their set when he felt they were dragging it out too long. Really made a scene! Then the headline slot kinda backfired on them, as much of the audience had grown tired after so many bands and didn't wait around for Dokken to take the stage... Wonder what would happen on this tour?

During Great White's set it was so packed in the club we had to watch it at the side bar on tv. When Dokken came on the place was half full and we made it to the front. I hung with J.Russell before the show. Hell of a nice guy - shame what happened.
