arnel ~ new on the tube

Such powerful voice. I would love to hear him do a Queensryche cover. I cannot wait to go to the Vegas show and hear him live.

I think there are a lot of people on this board that were too quick to jump on the "Arnel Cant Cut It" bandwaggon. If these clips are anything to go by, this guy could really do well with the band.

Arnel's voice was never an issue, at least with me. It's just that I've heard the same songs by three different lead singers now, and am really not interested in hearing a fourth one.

Now, I swore I'd never go to an Augeri-fronted concert and I saw at least 25 of those!

So, I've learned never to say never, but I just am not "feeling that way" about Journey anymore.

It has nothing to do with Arnel (who can belt out a good one), just Journey-fatigue and a bit of left-over disgust over the JSS deal.

But he most certainly can sing!

He sounds awesome! His voice is great....The only thing I have to get used to a little is that he does seem to draw out things a little...Not sure how to explain it, but I think the tour this summer will be great!

Agreed. But.....that kind of "makes it his own" rather than trying too hard to duplicate Perry.

While I'm not ready to induct him into the R&R HOF, I was certainly one of these people that you speak of. The man is tremendously talented. Easily the best voice to front this band since Perry.
