Not necessarily. I certainly wish all involved in whatever this is could resolve it. But it's over simplifying things to say that to forgive is to forget. Perhaps forgiveness involves more acceptance that forgetting.

I agree with you Rick ..not forgiving and harboring hate is not good for you and it only lets wrong doers continue to affect you, thats why I don't allow it within..so yes forgiving is good, but that does not mean that it should be given outwardly when it has not been earned by asking for it and it abdicates others of responsibilty for their actions. Yes, give them chances but when they don't own up to things they have done and made to take responsibility then they will only take advantage and continue to do the things they do. Peace is preferred and we should all be granted to live it, but when others do things that upsets that peace and well being then sometimes you can't lie down and just take it to simply keep the peace...sometimes you have to stand up and fight against those that take advantage and are out to do harm. They should be made accountable for their actions and not get a free pass to continue what they do. If they own up and try to make right what they did and apologize, then forgiveness can be granted but if they don't change and only deny and continue as they have been then it should not be afforded them, and they should be shown for what they are so they can't continue getting away with it and do it to others.

Perrydise, too bad you didn't feel welcome, but contrary to your impression here, this community is but a small fraction of the people who turned up for the event. Many, many others are involved with this site on other levels, yet we all came together for one purpose: To celebrate Andrew's 10 years of devotion to this site and the love of this genre of music. In addition to the other boards here, there is the Noticeboard (which was the first message board that Andrew came up with about 12 years ago, back when it was called the AOR and Hard Rock Hot Spot), MR Extra (which is a subscription-based site for rare audio/video goodies), and then there's those people who just visit the main site for the news, reviews, interviews, etc.

I've been a member of Andrew's community way before these boards came to be, so it was wonderful to get to meet/spend time with all of the friends that I've made over the last 10+ years from all over the world (many of whom I'd met over the years already). If all goes well, Andrew may put another event together next year, so be sure not to miss it next time!
