Time3 has EVERYthing essential, at least from the classic era. To me, boxsets are supposed to be exactly what Journey's is. Capturing not every note ever recodred, but rather all the hits and then the album cuts, unreleased songs and demos so that you can figure out what the band was all about withOUT having to play every recorded note (which I love doing as well, BTW).
Post perry it would be superfluous; there's not enough material.

I forgot about the easter eggs!..I've only watched it once since I got it. I'll have to watch it again and try to find the eggs.Liam wrote:Red13JoePa wrote:Why?

I DO think they should do what Rush did with Replay and release a 3 disk DVD set with the Departure, Frontiers, and ROR tours. Ya wanna add Escape in there?? Go ahead...but the ones I mentioned 1st are the ones fans have been waiting for over 20 years.
Don't forget the good "Easter Eggs" though.
EDIT: Rush takes care of their fans though...they don't fuck 'em over. So this will probably never happen.

I haven't looked for the eggs in Rush's Replay yet but did find them in Rush in Rio....heres a description of where they are in that dvd...

as far as Journey ..not that I'm aware of but the new stuff may very well have them...you'd be surprised how many things do now.

STORY_TELLER wrote:I was just thinking about this the other day. Kiss had a VH1 classic special for Kissology 2, narrated by Stanley and Simmons. Kissology 2 covers just about every little thing they had contained in their video vaults. I'd love to buy a similar collection of Journey material (Perry era).
I'd also like to hear all the demos and out takes too. I seem to recall on the Tom Snyder show, Jon Cain mentioned he used to run a tape deck during rehearsals to record spontaneous nuggets they might later use and develop into songs. I'd love to hear that stuff.
If Kiss can do this, why not Journey? Unless Perry is still holding it back.

i believe they signed control over to perry so he's the one screwing everybody over buy not releasing this stuff.
