If he could sing like he sang with Journey,he would be singing with Journey.
I think it would be just great if he would sing like he can sing today.Even with half of his Journey era range,he'd still be better than an entire army of vocalists.

The only issue is wanting to sing or not.THAT is something only he knows.

Hope dies last. :)

No doubt we'll hear from Steve again. It will be a soft, ballad, filled solo cd. With a lower huskier range. He might even sing some of his favorite covers on the cd. I predicted it last year and it will happen. ;)

Steve Perry is just copying George Costanza by going out on a high note... :)

On second thought, this is actually a good theory! That particular episode of Seinfeld aired on March 19, 1998 - probably the time Perry was making up his mind?

"George: Alright, well why don't we smooth the head down to nothing, stick a
pumpkin under its arm and change the nameplate to Ichabod Crane?

Everyone at the meeting breaks out in laughter.

George (getting up and leaving): Alright! That's it for me. Goodnight
everybody."
