Here comes the arguements again as to who headlines and who dosen't. My predictions.

Kiss (biggest stage show - will headline)
Def Leppard (Journey already opened for them)
Whitesnake (original singer/new album)
Journey (new singer/new album)
Twisted Sister (bigger joke than Kiss/they don't fit on this bill)

There is no way that Kiss will go on before Journey. Their stage is too big. When they opened for Aerosmith(original band) it caused so much turmoil that Ace Frehley quit the band. I think that Gene and Paul are on their last big money grab and will headline. They still sell out the major arenas and Journey stll have a shit load of seats left at a 7,000 seat convention hall in Vegas

Journey is the best band, BY FAR, than any of these fake acts.

Kiss lipping, Lippard well, Lipping, what a joke.

Known or not, Journey should close, but won't.

Latest news

14-2-2008, Journey on Arrow Rock Festival 2008
After the announcement we made last week that Kiss, Whitesnake and Def Leppard would be the Arrow Rock Festival 2008, we can now add the American symphonic hardrock band Journey to this year’s program

Journey’s five band members will no doubt astound the audience again with their music, Just like they did with their smashing performance on the Arrow Rock Festival in 2006. After several changes in the line-up, the Filipino singer Arnel Pineda will join the band this year, as he did in 2006. ‘Arnel gives Journey a soulful and passionate voice,’ explains keyboard player Jonathan Cain. By listening to classics like Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing and Who's Crying Now, the Arrow Rock audience will experience a whole lot of goosebumps. Please check the programme, for more information and a nice story about Journey.

Journey performed at the 2006 edition of the festival
Its an classic rock festival
The 2006 edition was a 2 day fest with 2 stages
Line up:
Bintangs
Blackfoot
Clearwater
Deep Purple
Def Leppard
DIO
George Thorogood & The Destroyers
John Waite
Journey
Pavlov's Dog
Porcupine Tree
Queensrÿche
Ray Davies
Riverside
Roger Waters
SQY
Status Quo
Ted Nugent
Uriah Heep
Whitesnake
Wishbone Ash

Journey closed day 1 at the B-stage
Deep Purple closed day 1 at the main stage (Neal joined DP on "Smoke On The Water")

Although Journey is no big name in The Netherlands
they were still one of the highlights that day.

I dont think the will close the 2008 edition but im sure they wont open the festival either

100% KISS closes. Journey with their relatively small set requirements, can float as needed.

Dave, I KNOW Lippard isn't from Netherlands, I meant Europe dumbass

How can you have Journey over Lippard especially when they just toured as headliner over Journey? I agree Journey is 30 times better than those posers, but Euros are fuckin stupid.

Kiss is awful, period.

Like I tell me kids: Say what you mean, mean what you say! ;)

I put Journey over Lepprad because Journey still has not played a LOT over there so there is more demand for the band. It is a different audience over there than over here so you can't really compare that...I simply think it is about demand. And I don't hold KISS in high regard either, but they will headline...

I don't like KISS very much but with their stageshow and those fans....they WILL headline. The only toss-up is between Whitesnake and Def Leppard and what slots they get. Journey will open for these bands in Europe.

Well, If they're doing the same format, which is usually the way, since these things are a regular event, there will be one huge Main stage, and a smaller stage off to one side.
I did this festival in 2003 with another group on the smaller venue.

If any one is of a mind to travel, this would be a great one to do.
1. Fly direct to Schipol and rest near the airport until time to
2. take a train out to near the venue then...
3. take a shuttle or rent a bike to pedal out to the venue. They have bike parking there, it's all flat, it's really a cool ride.
4. Party like a local   8) 8)      take pictures to prove it. :!:
5. Go back to hotel, change clothes
6. Spend the rest of the time in Amsterdam.

Oh, I met the family we helped when I was there.i'll bet she's got tickets already.

even though KISS gets tons of flack and lots of people don't like them the fact is KISS has more gold albums than any other american band in history.they have sold at least 100 million worldwide and their last two studio albums both hit the top five.pyscho circus opened at 3 on the billboard top 200 and i think revenge debuted at 5.when KISS had a tribute album done everyone from garth brooks, lenny kravitz, extreme, anthrax, stevie wonder were on the KISS tribute album.even if you love or hate KISS they've accomplished a lot.

its always been about Kiss and Journey for me.. not these versions of these bands though..

in 1989 German Monsters of Rock .. Kiss opened for Whitesnake,, and cover-version told the audience that kiss could open for them anytime,, it was a slam...

We are finally able to confirm that the ultimate American glamrock band Kiss is programmed as the main act on Sunday 15 June, at the Arrow Rock Festival 2008. Whitesnake and Def Leppard will also perform on the stage in the Goffertpark in Nijmegen on that day. The pre-sale for the Arrow Rock Festival 2008 starts Saturday 9 February.

Eventhough Journey may not close the festival, they will be the best act like they were in 2006. I'm so happy that they are becoming a regular act here in the netherlands, 3 years in a row, who would have thought or even dreamt about this 5 years ago.
Rock on !
