Wasn't this the song the band wrote and recorded while all completely baked?

I'm reading the lyrics and listening to it on headphones right now, I'm sober right now but feel like I'm tripping balls.

Heck, did FyreDyck or whatever write the lyrics? Seems like some stuff he'd be into.

Hahaha I'm imagining Friga high as a kite. Good material.

Me too, and right then I thought I read the thread title wrong and thought he was talking about the Blink 182 song, "All the Small Things"... Wow.

Next to "All the Way", it's the worst song on "Arrival".

I'm not highly impressed with how "Open Arms"-y "All the Way" comes off on the studio album, but I got a big kick out of their live rendition of it in 'Vegas. One of my favorite performances by Augeri. And as for the "All the Things", I just enjoy Schon's riffs.

I have to say, I honestly envy fans who like Arrival and the Augeri era of Journey. They have more music to enjoy than I do.

Here's to praying the Arnel era contains a smidge of the Perry "IT" factor. He certainly has a better voice than Augeri, but so far, my hair isn't standing on end when he sings. I hope it happens when I hear the new material.

The new music is rumored to have a lot of keys and bass driven rhythm to it ala Message Of Love and Separate Ways. And of course Neal's signature genius. 8)

With all do respect, you just described the overall "sound" of Journey, thank you very much. ;)

Interesting...I'd be pretty happy with music in the style of Message Of Love and Separate Ways.

What the hell is your problem? "All the Way" isn't bad but it's as sugary a pop ballad as it gets. While there's some good guitar playing going on in "All the Things", I just don't like it much other than that.

BTW, my favorite song on "Arrival" is "Livin' to Do".

I don't really like All the Way..But I love All the Things.. I just think its a little departure from what they normally do ,being as I liked Red 13/State of Grace and the Time, its no surprise that I liked that song as well.. I like it when they take chances,I'm a risky type guy, that's why I really liked "Only Solutions" off Tron..

I actually like the fact that they did a tune like "All the Things". I just don't think it worked in that case.

Nope, not fantastic, but it's definately not bad.

Neal is sick on it, out of this world good and Valory, oddly enough, comes up w/ some hooks on the bass (right at the breakdown in the middle) the unfortunate thing is they caved to the pressure of fans (like me) who read the leaked working title of "All The Things I Love About You" and changed it to just ATT.

That's kinda hearting in a way because didn't the great Schon/Cain/Perry chemistry become born of a lot of Perry bass-writing parts?

I didn't know Perry was that deep into the writing. Very cool.

Supposedly it's his favorite instrument to songwrite with.

Honestly I never understood why people don't like this one. It's one of the three songs on Arrival I actually like.

Here's to praying the Arnel era contains a smidge of the Perry "IT" factor. He certainly has a better voice than Augeri, but so far, my hair isn't standing on end when he sings. I hope it happens when I hear the new material.

Hey, it's going to sound like Journey! :D

The new music (and I will listen to it - gotta keep an open mind, just don't have to buy it!) will be very interesting!
