Great lead vocals, songwriting and keyboards on When Seconds Count. But I prefer Too Hot To Sleep because it's more guitar driven.

May 2000. My grandpa who raised me since I was four passed away. He was my best friend. Self educated, mill worker, boxer, union president. Very proud of his appearance when dressed up although growing up our family had no money. When he dressed up (weddings, meetings, etc...) his famous line was " your never dressed up unless your wearing a nice watch." He owned a nice $200 watch from a department store that he splurged on after retirement. He wore it on occasion. Very proud of it. I would go back to May 2000 and spend every dime I had to purchase for him the biggest, shiniest ROLEX watch that money could buy just to see him put that on and feel like he was the dressed up better than anyone in the world at that second. To this day when I dress up... I have his $200 watch on and makes me feel like I'm the dressed up better than anyone. I'll have it on March 8 for a very special occasion. He'll be there also.

Yes, "Can't Let You Go" Rocks, it was a great guitar driven song. "Oceans" is great too. All around great vocals and songwriting on that album.

I would love to go back to any year when I was a child. Just so I could feel once again how wonderful it felt to be a child. I was always in such a hurry to grow up. I would love to feel that way again. No worries, no responsibilities, no bills. And also both of my parents and grandparents would be there. I too would use that day to make sure my family knew how much I loved them.
On my way to better things......I found myself some wings

Dream the joys of pearls and gold, And our angels wings in flight unfold.

I'd like to go back to the early to late 80s and re-live my childhood. I'd also like to take a different path to some of the mistakes I've made. Hard lessons learned.. :x

For me when Im not listening to Journey or Jeff Scott Soto, I have Alice Cooper playing loudly.

Got to be 1975. I'd beg borrow and steal enought money to follow Alice Cooper around on his Welcome to my Nightmare Tour. Seen him several times in the 90's and 00's but I'd love to see the classic concerts If not 75, then 73 and the Billion dollar babies tour.

I was only 4 years old in 75 and my mom wouldn't allow me to go to the shows

First I would go back to 1914, hop on that giant ship heading to America, climb up to the bridge and steer that fucker around the iceberg., thus saving 2,000 lives.

Secondly, I would back to 1992, and either make sure the retards in Florida punched the right box, or, run W's bus off the fuckin' road into a deep ravine, thus saving this country 8 years of living Hell.

amd I would go back to 1992 also and make sure Deano fails.....

Deano would not be working alone

Ummm...the Titanic tragedy happened in 1912, Dean.

Myself, I would go back to November 1963 and somehow try to prevent President Kennedy from traveling to Dallas on that fateful day.

Besides going back to 81 to see Steve Perry in his prime....

I'd go back to June, 1994, Bundy Drive. I'd flatten a certain White Bronco's tires.

I would go back to 1986, which was the year I graduated high school. I would ditch a bunch of classes and go party with my high school friends one last time. I only ditched ONE class in 4 years of high school--I ditched Algebra my freshman year. Of course I got caught, so I never ditched again.

'89, one of my personal favorites. Much fun, not a fucking care in the world.

Journey-wise I'd roll back to '86 and be a fly on the wall for the entirety of the marathon ROR sessions.

And '05 at The Plant for the Generations sessions.

Aw, come on.

Just because you're so old you remember Central Park when it was a plant doesn't mean you have to be mad at me.

Tone, that's possibly the greatest post I'd ever see anyone post, only because I know exactly what you mean. I was going to post something similar to his passing, but caught your post beforehand.

So for me, May of 2000. May 17th to be exact. That was the day before my grandfather passed. I got out of school that day with my brother and went to the zoo with brother TIME. HOT AS HELL I REMEMBER. When I got home from school I remember my mom gardening and I was hungry ( I was 11 at the time) she called up my Grandfather to run over to McDonald's to get me a meal. It had to be 100 degrees then some that day, and my grandpa had trouble breathing at the time, esp. with that weather. He would do anything for us or the family and low and behold went out of his way to grab me a bite to eat. Before we left for the zoo, I remember brother TIME telling him he never looked so good in his life and was in great shape. We all agreed. He died the next day. So I would go back and just give him a kiss goodbye like I do my mom and dad every time I leave the house because you don't know what could happen.

BTW, great story on the watch. I told my gf this story and she got me a watch for Christmas. It's a Steelers watch, but hey it's a watch and I'll always think of him every time I wear one.
