What fell through was just a show that they were doing while they're down there. The big festival that they are playing in is still ON, plus a few more additional shows. The show that they were going to do with Augeri a few years ago but had to cancel was the big festival (Vina del Mar, I think). That festival was to be broadcast over the internet that year, so maybe it'll be again this year.

The Vina Del Mar festival or whatever it's called I think is broadcast on TV down there. I have bootleg DVD's of Europe in 1990 and Toto in 2004, so there's a very good chance Journey's set will be televised.

Well!They have live streaming ("en vivo" on the menu bar at the top of the page).Just watched a few minutes of a talk show about VdM,looks like there are some press conferences going on today.
I guess it's a possiblity that Journey's show will be streamed live on Thursday.

I used to think that way....I'm not so sure anymore.
Toto played there in '04 and had no scruples about Bobby noticeably lipping to Africa (yes, he did and still does - fuck you steve lukather).
Also, keep in mind Journey released an official FITH video to VH1-Classics where Augeri lipped.
Over the course of his tenure, they even went ahead and filmed TWO unreleased dvds where lipping was involved.
They simply don't care, and most likely still don't.

Jeff came on here and pledged never to lip. I have talked to Jeremey on and off for years and would like to think he wouldn't.
Where is Arnel's solemn pledge to never fuck us again?

Jeff Soto mended fences with this fanbase, but he is gone.
Until we hear something from Neal that even slightly approximates an apology, I say don't give the bastards a dime.

Yeah Bobby Kimball lips more than Shaquille Oneal putting on chapstick, but who gives a fuck about Toto? That's just it, Tota is a helluva lot lower on the food chain than Journey was and will ever be.

Secondly, yeah Augeri lipped at Buffalo Chip, but by that time, he so good, perhaps they thought we wouldn't catch it, or didn't have cable.

I think you might be right about "Africa" but the rest of Bobby's lead vocals are live. Trust me, he's a belter, and his singing style works and fails at about a 50/50 ratio at most shows.

The choruses are sketchy though...Bobby's voice doesn't really blend, so the choruses are a sea of tapes, sadly, but the lead vox are all live. I saw them 5 times on the last tour and Bobby hit his share of bum notes (and forgot the fucking words to Hold The Line at one of the Chicago shows, despite the 3 teleprompters )

Damn fine video, too I have it. I'd say at least 80 of the vocals on that video seemed to be the studio vocal, though.

The combination of them releasing a 4/5ths live promo video for FITH AND the new recent Chile cancellation leads me to believe it's something down there, maybe administrative not 'Gate that pulled the plug on Chile in '06.

these guys are extremely well-respected...only a musician can seriously appreciate them to the nth degree...if you like them or not, that's your preference, but this band is always bringing their A game live....

I've seen them live every time they've played here for the past 20 years....and I've never seen BK lip. Never. Not saying he hasn't done it, but I have never seen it, and I would easily spot it out. He's a monster vocalist, but I will admit he's lost some of his range over the last 2 years...and it was noticeable in their live performances. Hey, the guys getting up there in age...what would you expect. I'll never hold that against him.

He is singing live....I sang onstage with them here in Chicago...and the leads were all live.....good or bad, it was live, not memorex.....and to me it was all good.....
