Just saw an interview with Cain and Pineda on the Canal Festival website and Cain says that this set will last 1 hour and stick with material from the '80s as it is their first concert in Chile. He went on to say that the next shows will be 90 minutes and will feature new material!

I hope by new material he meant from the new album and not just newer than the '80s!

Toto's Amsterdam dvd performance of 'Africa' is a perfect example of what concertgoers are treated to nightly.
All lead vox are pulled straight off the album until 3:48 when Bobby's mic is turned on.
Unlike Journey, Toto doesn't even bother using unreleased obscure back-catalog tracks to mask their deception - instead, they just use Bobby's vocals off the IV album.
And yes, it is very easy to spot out.

I actually think Bobby is, for the most part, a powerhouse tenor.
This isn’t a con pulled off on a trans-continental, multi-tour scale like Journey.
If you get the chance to catch them live, you def. shouldn't pas up the chance.

Real Augeri: http://youtube.com/watch?v=QWalG1t5dPo

Fake Augeri: http://youtube.com/watch?v=x5YkmFWfo04

One is an earnest, heartfelt attempt at a classic by a vocally disadvantaged, yet very, very nice man.
The other, is total 100% synthetic shit.

It's no biggie, everybody does it, but you do know that you can't see someone lip. Fuck, Augeri had millions fooled for 6 months.

He doesn't lip - his vocals are still awesome. He sang Hold the Line just a foot away from my face and I can tell you that he was not lip synching. Enough.

There are differences.
For starters, Bobby is old as shit and was the original vocalist for several of these songs.
You mean to tell me we wouldn't cut Perry some slack if he were to flub one chosen Journey song a night?

I don't agree with it, but they have earned that right.

This has been brought up many times, and it always comes back to Africa. Never any other song Toto has ever played.
